Reminder: Tonight from 6:00-9:00PM we will be handing out payouts for the BTG Points Series. The ones listed in the final points standings below in the images will have their payout ready to pick up at the normal payout window on the pit side of Volunteer Speedway.

Unfortunately, the remainder of the Back the Gap Summer Series has been cancelled and future races will not be ran. **Please keep reading**

With the entire schedule not being completed, we will issue pro-rated refunds to those who purchased Season Passes.

**We will also still pay out for points. In the coming days we will post final standings for points. We are still dropping two races as we had planned to do. We will still host an awards ceremony, and that date will be posted soon as well.

***Most importantly, we want to make it clear that racing is NOT finished for the season at Volunteer Speedway. You will want to pay close attention to their page in the coming days about more details on future scheduled happenings at the track.

At the end of the day, the Back the Gap Summer Series was about keeping racing alive at Volunteer Speedway, and we like to think we helped accomplish that. Even if there were flaws and mistakes. Thank you for your support, and we hope you will continue to Back the Gap!

RACE DATE: Saturday, Sept. 3, 2022

EVENT: Back The Gap Summer Series

ADMISSION (Cash Only. No Cards Accepted!): $15 adults, with kids 10-and-under free. … $30 adult pits, $15 (ages 5-10), with kids 4-and-under free.

GATES: Pit gates open at 4 p.m. and grandstands at 5 p.m.

RACING: Crate Late Model (30 laps), Sportsman Late Model (25 laps), Street Stock (20 laps), Classic (20 laps), and Front Wheel Drive (20 laps).

DRIVERS MEETING / HOT LAPS / QUALIFYING: Drivers meeting at 6:15 p.m. Hot laps begin at 7 p.m., with (5 hot laps – 6 cars) times via the transponder being qualifying for Street Stock, Front Wheel Drive and Classic. ... Crate Late Model and Sportsman Late Model (2 cars – 2 laps) qualifying.

LOCATION: Volunteer Speedway, located just off Interstate 81 (Exit 23) at 14095 West Andrew Johnson Highway (Hwy. 11-E), in Bulls Gap, Tennessee 37711.

The Fan Appreciation Night event set for Friday, August 12th, has been moved to Friday, August 19 due to the Topless Outlaw/Steel Block Bandit event scheduled for Saturday, August 13th.

Race dates scheduled for Friday, July 29th (rain) and Friday, August 12th will be rescheduled. We have mentioned that all 10 races of the Back the Gap Summer Series will be ran, and they will. In addition, ALL Season Passes will be honored at those events, and any rumors spreading stating anything else are just that, rumors.

We will have rescheduled dates for these two events on Monday afternoon.

🚨🚨 In the interest of drivers, fans and everyone involved with Volunteer Speedway, we have *MOVED* (not cancelled) the scheduled Back the Gap Summer Series events scheduled for this Friday & Saturday, July 22 & 23. The new scheduled dates will be Friday, August 19th & Friday, September 30th.

With the price of everything rising, we feel that it’s in the best interest to move these dates so that we do not have 4 races over a short span. That’s a hard ask on drivers, teams and fans to not only pay ticket pricing, but travel cost. We want as many people to enjoy racing at The Gap and don’t want to run simply to say we ran.

Thank you to all of you who continuously support Volunteer Speedway!

🤯 What. A. Weekend!

👏 First, we want to thank the drivers, teams, and fans of Volunteer Speedway. Y’all never cease to amaze with your support.

💥 Second, WHAT A SHOW TONIGHT! The track was in such great shape, and the cushion provide some of the most incredible racing action we’ve seen in years!

🚀🚀 Finally, we get to run it all back in 2 weeks when the Southern Nationals Series Super Late Models invades the Gap for $10,000-to-win! You will NOT want to miss the the great racing action, AND this event will serve as our 2022 Faith & Family Night! So, invite your church group to be in attendance with us!

Redmond Walsh is tied with Todd Helton for most Saves All-Time at the University of Tennessee, and you can meet him this Saturday, July 2nd at Volunteer Speedway!

Redmond will be set up on the front stretch grandstands side of the track, and will be available to meet fans, sign autographs and snap selfies! Cost to attend is the cost of admission at the gate - $15 for adults, with kids 10 & under admitted FREE!

Bring your Tennessee memorabilia and have it signed by one of the greatest to ever wear the Orange & White uniform!
