Bacterial Blend, a DJ and Producer hailing from Fondi, Italy. His journey into the world of Drum & Bass began in 2013 when he clinched victory in an UndergroundArea competition. This win opened doors to major stages, including the prestigious International Drum'n'Bass Meeting in Bologna in 2014. He continued to grace audiences with his music in Rome and various cities across Italy.

Bacterial Blend has had the honor of sharing the stage with renowned international artists such as Spor, Spy, Concord Dawn, Sinister Souls, Zombie Cats, Aphrodite, Benny L, Serum, Marcus Intalex, IHR, and many more. Today, he calls Melbourne home, where he's become a familiar face in the local DnB scene.

Born and raised in the UK saw MONK first pick up a controller at the age of 13. Contrary to popular belief MONK did not gain his mixing skills in the monasteries of Tibet.

However, he had been spotted spinning the deeper and minimal sounds of DNB high in the mountains of India and the beaches of Thailand. 2021 brought about MONK's first Perth set and many more followed.

More than a decade ago, Panhigh's fervent journey into the world of Drum and Bass commenced in Belgium. Swiftly, he integrated into the Optimal Bass team, collectively orchestrating and curating a myriad of underground music nights. He seized the opportunity to perform alongside eminent names like Audio, Bredren, Current Value, Ed Rush, InsideInfo, Kasra, Circuit, Killbox, and more.

However, four years ago, Panhigh embarked on a life-altering journey, leaving his homeland to venture into the vibrant music scene of Australia. During this Australian adventure, he had the privilege of performing with various crews, including Traction, Sub Era, Deep Forward, and Swurv.

More recently, Panhigh established his own entity, Various Controls, with the primary mission of promoting the underground DnB culture and bridging his local musical roots with the burgeoning Perth scene and beyond.

Introducing our Headline Acts for THE CONNECT:

🪐 SOLA 🪐

SOLA is a Drum & Bass trio comprised of James, Robbie and Paul. They have releases on Ram's sister label Program, Formation, Korsakov Music, Play Me, Dance Concept, Gorilla Warfare, Dub Damage, Deep In The Jungle, 24 Karat, Soul Deep, Nuusic, Boomslang, Riot Dubs, Heads Bass and their own imprint Grand Theft Audio.

After many singles and EPs, their debut album Stars Align, released on Grand Theft Audio in September 2022 to widespread critical acclaim. The promo journey for the LP landed them an upload on UKF Drum & Bass as well as an interview for UKF with Dave Columbo Jenkins and a guestmix for Mollie Collins on Kiss FM.

They've hit 2023 running with high profile EP and Single releases on Korsakov Music, Play Me, Boomslang & Formation, which have seen them receiving support from as far afield as Pendulum, Sub Focus & Ray Keith. In April, they won the DJ Rap remix competition against 658 other entries and in May they released the remix album Stars Realigned on GTA, including the anthemic Cliques remix of Pico De Gallo.

They are preparing for their first tour outside of Europe with confirmed performances in Canada, USA, Vietnam, Australia & New Zealand. Their sets are a fast-paced and unpredictable with an emphasis on crowd reaction and stacked to the brim with tracks that won't be heard anywhere else for months, sometimes years as well fan favourites from their back catalogue.

🌴 Conrad Subs 🌴

Conrad Subs (real name Ad Krolik) has been producing Drum & Bass Jungle music for over 20 years. He has gone under many names in the past: ADK, Nifty and Sulako to name a few, but after taking a small break he returned to production in 2017 under the new alias Conrad Subs and quickly established himself as a rising talent in the scene. Early releases on labels such as Soul Deep, Inna Rhythm and DJ Hybrid’s Deep in the Jungle showcased Conrad’s diverse sound - Liquid, Jump Up, Jungle… All styles were present in his arsenal, and things quickly gained momentum.

Fast forward a few years and Subs now has a wealth of dancefloor classics in his discography. From the anthemic ‘Revival’ on Ram Records, ‘Cool Off’ on Symmetry and ‘Little Vibey Thing’ on Nuusic, to a feast of dancefloor fire on Deep in the Jungle including anthems such as ‘Come Selecta’, ‘When It’s Time’, ‘Special Request’ and ‘The Rhythm’. Introducing our host for THE CONNECT:

🎙️ MC Manaki 🎙️

MC Manaki found his love for the mic in the mid 90’s. Having originally started as a DJ, the path in music took a turn for MC duties. Growing up with the talent and influences in London of that era is something that will always be close to his heart. Manaki has played on London Pirate radio stations like Rude Awakening and Time FM, and was a regular on the legendary Gaialive @ Brick Lane and Epidemik @ Oscar’s Nightclub.

A move to Melbourne in 2005, and time out for many reasons, 2021 saw Manaki back on the mic duties after connecting with a DJ via the DNB FB Page. Since then, the scene has really opened up with opportunities to showcase the unique styles he brings.
The last few years have really been huge supporting international
Artist like AC13, Digital, Mrs Magoo & Ed Solo alongside interstate pioneer PHDNB.

Filthy Philp's name is becoming a staple in Australia, with a recent career highlight of winning the Yourshot DJ competition in the wildcard category!
