🌒 NIGHT SHIFT 🌒

Night Shift DNB is an up-and-coming drum and bass artist based in London, UK. Known for his energetic beats and skilful mixing, Night Shift DNB has been making waves in the UK drum and bass scene, and has quickly become a favourite among fans and DJs alike. Night Shift DNB’s music is characterised by infectious beats, intricate rhythms, and heavy baselines. His tracks are both dance-floor-friendly and thought-provoking, with influences ranging from classic jungle and old-school breakbeat to modern dnd jungle.

Night Shift DNB has released music on respected labels such as Ram Records, GET HYPE, and DUBSHOTTA, and has recently signed a single to Sigma’s label, Beats Bass Life. His latest single, “Dead Man,” was played by DJ Crossy on DnB Talk 360 Rave. Music supported by Rene LA vice

Award winning DJ and producer Mrs. Magoo has indeed built a highly respected name in the jungle drum and bass scene, known for both her skill and dedication. With nearly two decades of experience, she’s been instrumental in keeping the genre alive and evolving. Her approach blends classic jungle vibes with fresh, multicultural influences, making her sets vibrant and engaging for a wide range of audiences.

Her extensive experience on major stages, like Jungle Mania, Awol, Boomtown and Glastonbury, alongside international tours, speaks volumes about her influence. Performing back-to-back with jungle legends like Nicky Blackmarket and Kenny Ken shows the level of respect she commands. Her releases on well-known labels such as Deep In The Jungle and Audio Addict further solidify her impact, helping to keep the genre authentic yet accessible for new listeners. She’s more than just a DJ; she’s an ambassador for jungle culture.

DeadWeight is a name synonymous with the birth of the Perth dubstep scene, igniting a fire and creating nothing short of an institution back in 2010. For years, DeadWeight reigned supreme, bringing the heaviest sounds to the tribe gathered at their legendary events, and hosting some of the biggest names in the global dubstep scene right here in Western Australia. DeadWeight nights showcased the likes of Mala, Flava D & My Nu Leng amongst many, many more. Now, after a period of seclusion, they return ready to push some drop tuned frequencies.

A preserver of good vibes, Vishnu can be described as a sample based electronic music producer specializing in atmospheric sound design. RTRfm 92.1 radio personality on Friday Drivetime & Rhythm Trippin’ as well as a multi-genre DJ for over 15 years, Vishnu has had the privilege of playing in both hemispheres. Founder and curator of Abode, a dubwise sound camp at Blazing Swan festival, and co-founder of the New Forms Collective, Vishnu has a reputation for tight, technical mixing and top shelf track selection. Expect multiple genres on showcase during any set, and get ready to raise your gun fingers…!

VNSN is one half of the driving force behind the Clarted crew, bringing you back to bass, and back to the basics of music: good vibes, good music, and good people. Clarted has gone from strength to strength in 2024, hosting a serious selection of well respected artists. Beginning with Swamp 81 and Bluetoof in January, followed by Ternion Sound, Killjoy, and Khan & Neek. Playing support to the aforementioned artists, and more at events not hosted by themselves has given both recognition for their versatility and track selection. Expect a high energy blend of genres around the 140 tempo mark.

🕷️ REKAB 🕷️

Rekab is a name synonymous with dubstep in Perth. Beginning his affiliation with the genre back in 2007, this has seen him support the likes of many pioneering names, including Skream, Benga, Mala, Coki, Ntype, Joker, Caspa, Rusko, Kutz, Silkie, JKenzo, and Joe Nice. As a key figure in the Deadweight and Someone Say Dubstep? crews, as well as co-host of Basscheck on RTRFM since its inception, Rekab has played a pivotal role in presenting the most forward thinking sounds in the genre to a large audience, broadening its appeal. Having supported Ternion Sound in early 2024 after a hiatus, Rekab once again steps up in support of Truth at The Connect on Friday 13th December. Expect him to draw on his experience and versatility in bringing you some serious bassweight.

Rooted in the gritty beats of hip hop’s golden age and shaped by the experimental sounds of the 2010 LA beat scene, Neesnu has journeyed from beatmaking to DJing, performing across Perth’s underground and beyond. Known for his dynamic sets, he weaves hip hop heritage into a pulse of broken techno, footwork, dubstep, and breaks, curating a trip that keeps the party stepping while paying homage to his influences.

Mindfields, one of the founding members of New Forms, discovered his passion for broken beats at a young age. Since then he has established himself as a skilled DJ and producer. His unique style is evident in his productions, which are prominently featured in both New Forms compilation albums and his DJ sets. A set by Mindfields showcases his expertise in clean transitions and impeccable track selection, covering a wide range of genres, including 140, Breaks, Halftime, and Drum & Bass. Having supported heavy hitters such as KOAN Sound and kLL sMTH, Mindfields is leaving a lasting impression on the vibrant Perth music scene.

⚔️ MAUJA ⚔️

Mauja has been DJ’ing since 2001, and producing music since 2010. Employed as a Senior Lecturer at SAE Institute in Perth, when not teaching Mauja is continually staying abreast of the latest technology and developments in electronic music, as well as being heavily involved in various musical projects. This includes with After Dark Music [ADM] as a label partner and mastering engineer. Influences include a wide variety of sounds and genres from a broad array of electronic music to various metal bands, hip hop, scratch DJ’s, film scores and any leftfield vinyl records collected over the years. Other sources of inspiration come from science fiction, graffiti/street art and anything in between. Expect moody vibes, and a tightly woven schematic of tracks showcasing sound design, groove and heavy syncopation from his sets.
