Vania Noble is the owner and founder of Pole Effect Studio Worcestershire. She has been in the industry for over 10 years and she has taught thousands of people and shared her passion and enthusiasm for pole with students all over the world. She has competed worldwide and has won several competitions in art and exotic style. She is widely known for including dance elements to her performances and focusing in musicality and fluidity. She is so excited to be part of this event and commemorate the beauty of this art form.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Stacey Snedden will not be attending on the day. We’d like to thank her for judging the video round and of course thank Vania for stepping in at such short notice.

We won’t know who our final 6 competitors are until the day! Who do you think should come along and try?
Full details below …

Arrive from 11 am to sign up. Finalists will strictly be first come first serve, once we reach capacity (6 competitors) you will not be able to enter the venue until 12 pm alongside other spectators.
If successfully signed up, You will be given a list of songs, varying in speeds and styles and genres, you must pick one song to dance to before 12pm.
You will be given a short amount of time (before 12pm) to test the poles and try out the stage, to become familiar with the spacing.
The freestyle category will run early in the competition between amateur and semi pro, you will have time to warm up, get changed etc
If you are planning to enter, we would recommend bringing a costume to dance in on the day.

I started pole 5 years ago.
I've always played sports since I was little, I've never stopped, my favorite sport was figure skating, but unfortunately/fortunately I had to stop, due to some personal problems.
At the age of 14 my mother enrolled me in a pole dance course for children, even though my initial idea was to study contortionism at the circus.
Needless to say, there was a "love at first sight" and I signed up for the course.
After 6 months I started preparing for my first competition and I never stopped from there.
The victories were many:
National POSA Champion 2018
IPSF National Champion 2019
Third at the nationals POSA 2020
Third in the 2021 pole art world championships POSA
Second category double pole art italy 2023
Do I have any specialties on pole?
I'm not entirely sure, but I know that flexibility is one of my greatest strengths.

After a career as a professional dancer in Paris in different companies for almost 15 years, I wanted even more challenge to take up.
At that time, I discovered pole dancing and took my first class in 2013.
Pole dancing, again, gave me additional physical and mental challenges.
A sport that allowed me to combine the artistic side with the physical demands of pole dancing.
Passionate about body language and the search for movement, and thanks to my teaching experience in the dance world, I felt the need to share my passion by opening my own school in 2015.
My teaching is based on listening to yourself and your body, trusting what it gives us. Let go of the mind and rediscover its full potential.
At the same time, I continue to train with the big names in pole dance and participate in many national and international competitions as well as shows.

LEMMO was born in 2022. We wanted to bring together different artists from the dance world. Our ambition was to create an artistic project centered on the search for movement using our connection.

Each artist from different worlds has used their experiences of international competitions in dance and pole dance within this creation.

She is an Italian artist and an international athlete in the world of poledance and aerial acrobatic disciplines as well as winner of numerous national and international competitions in almost 10 years of practice and passion for this world.
Carlotta is also a coach and founder of the Smirnov Acrobatic Academy and the Bendability & Contortion® method
recognized by CONI (Italian National Olympic Committee) for extreme flexibility and contortionism

My passion for pole dance started in 2014 and from
passion it became a job, in 2018 I opened my
pole/aerial and calisthenics school.
I started my journey first as a student and then as a
teacher of Alessandra Marchetti, to whom I truly
owe everything. I studied and taught by her for
some years, I competed in double and singles both
in pole art and in pole sport in Italy and abroad
gaining several podiums. I participated in several
important competitions such as the world sports
games by POSA in tortosa in 2019 in double first
place, world pole sport championship in 2021,
European pole sport championship 2022 in spain in
double second place, pole art greece 2022 first
place. My specialty on the pole? Shoulder plank and
starfish!

I started pole over a decade ago and it has had such a positive impact on my life through the ups and downs and introduced me to some of my favourite people. I’m from Nottingham originally but am now based in Milton Keynes and teach at HD&F and IFA in Hertfordshire.
I started competing around 7 years ago and became addicted as I’ve always loved performing. I’m proud to have achieved a number of titles in that time but mainly I enjoy the creative journey of experimenting with tricks and transitions and exploring characters and stories. Pole dancing is a unique combination of artistry and athleticism and I’m honoured to be part of a competition that celebrates these things.

I am just a regular girl, with a regular life. 'Til I met Pole.

I journeyed through traditions--education til adulthood, then work. Nothing close to athletics. But I was always craving for something, something to be passionate about.

I wanted to learn everything. Gone through years in music, dance, fitness and yoga but did not have a drive to pursue these intensively.

I was a bit of a lost soul. Meeting Pole was a random encounter. But I developed a dedication I never had; a passion that grew bigger, uncontrollably bigger.

I left Pole for a year. Never again. Setting my sights on retraining, I devoured in hours and hours of classes & workshops--gained more than what I had.

I was just that regular girl, with a regular life. Never without Pole

Hi I am Butterfly Kate, an old age pensioner of the pole world from Lincoln!

For me one of many joys of poling is firstly the friendships that I have been fortunate to make and secondly is being able to see the amazing talent coming through and I am sure you will all agree how the standard just keeps getting higher and higher.

With this routine I am performing today I would like to thank .coffey who has worked with me, in particular on my confidence and being able to explore something a bit different for me in terms of style. Thanks also must go to many other people who have supported me from encouragement to hair and make up support, to general advice - the list is endless!

In my previous comp I thought it would be fun to include if I could be an animal what would it be, so along that theme I am thinking if I was a chocolate bar what would I be …. Now I bet you are all thinking the same.

After some thought I opted for a dairy milk marvellous creations - something a but more traditional on the outside with hopefully a bit of a surprise in the middle!

Anyway with that in mind I hope you enjoy my routine.

I have been poling for around 13 years at the British Pole Dance Academy in Stoke-on-Trent.  I began pole with no prior dance, gymnastic or movement experience, and it's safe to say I was not flexible, coordinated or graceful when I started.  Under the instruction of the legend that is Deb Riley, I fell in love with pole and the rest is history.  I now teach full time at BPDA and love passing on the joy and confidence that pole has brought me to others.  I have participated in a fair few competitions over the years and I love the opportunity to get up on stage and perform. I'm not the trickiest, bendiest or most graceful poler you will ever see, but who cares so long as it's fun right?! I am super honoured to have qualified for the Pole Art final, here's hoping for a fabulous show!

Amateur category - Sandra McAvoy

Sandra McAvoy, known better by her stage name Sana, was born in 1992, during the Bosnian civil war.

She grew up in Serbia and became a member of the folklore dance assembly, where she performed for over 6 years. 

Sana began taking pole dance lessons in late October 2017 and had first crowd facing performance for the studio’s birthday after just 8 months of training. 3 months later, she performed at her first international competition, Pole Artist Hungary, where she placed third in amateur category.

Sana has a few competitions under her belt. Last year she placed second in the Semi-Pro category at Pole Artistic Hungary and first at UKAAP in the Advanced category.

Currently she is training at The Pole Studio in Surbiton.

She would describe her style as contemporary and lyrical pole dance. She would like to say thank you to her competition guru, .bensilum for all the love and support in this process
