This week’s MUSE session was buzzing with creativity! Writers gathered to share their unique styles, tackle a 15-minute free write with the prompt “The shadows are speaking,” coordinated by the beautiful Chikondi Kanyenda and dove into an engaging discussion on social media’s pros and cons. The group even took on an exciting new challenge: writing their own pieces on the topic.

The night wrapped up with a performance by Phillip Kamwendo (Thee-Yha), making it an unforgettable evening of art and expression.

With profound sadness, we mourn the passing of Connie Temweka Gabisile Chiume, a talented actress and filmmaker. Connie's remarkable career spanned decades, during which she touched countless lives with her exceptional talent and dedication to her craft.

A proud Malawian, Kweza was honoured to have mounted her picture in their gallery as one of the influential Malawian creatives in the diaspora. Connie, who received the Best Actress in a Drama Series award at the South African Film and Television Awards, leaves behind a lasting legacy in the entertainment industry.

Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones. Rest in peace, Connie.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage annual budgets and financial plans
- Prepare financial statements
- Ensure compliance with regulations
- Oversee payroll and benefits
- Conduct financial analysis and forecasting
- Coordinate with external auditors
- Monitor cash flow
- Provide financial advice and support
- Implement financial policies

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Office
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification (e.g. CPA, ACCA)
- Experience in the creative or non-profit sector
