Wedding cakes...
Are my most favorite wedding traditions throughout to play with. And because the inside has to match the outside.
These (His & Theirs) both each have a touching story behind.
GROOM'S CAKE:
The couple met at the same University 16 years before they said " I do', and all of (5 total) bride's sisters all attended there as well. How better to represent their Longhorns pride, family value on academics and "where it all began"? None better than iconic UT University tower building as a topper.
The flavors: Chocolate cake filled with walnut caramel with orange and a cream cheese frosting.
BRIDAL CAKE:
Her late Mom was a lady of literature, impeccable taste for dressing, entertaining, gardening, heirloom manners and attention to detail ...so is no wonder the bride represented her mother's spirit with the original vintage cake topper her parents used when they said "yes"! And of course flowers, her mom's favorite Peonies ( a special gift from a friend flown in fresh from South America), premium garden rose buttons of different varieties and Cymbidium orchids.
The flavors: Tangerine and orange cake filled with peaches, apricots and roasted almonds and a cream cheese frosting.

Both cakes were baked at The Pastry House, personally concocted by founder Chalia whose cakes taste like heaven sent.

The UT tower topper and floral styling were crafted and impeccably excecuted by my talented brother Javier Garcia.

Point of my story is...don't worry about the size of your wedding, focus on the fine details, details are what make weddings so special.
