Do you know what is the tradition of this day ? Chu 15, is the first night of the year with the full moon. Therefore, in this day usually people light lanterns 🏮(etc: kongming) writing wishes on it and send them off. During this time, unmarried young men and women could meet. In Malaysia, they have this culture of “match-making” by tossing a written contact details on the mandarin orange into the river. When the orange flows to the other side of the river, men will randomly picked them up. That’s how they got the chance. Traditionally, most of them believed that there is a matchmaker from the moon who will tie red strings on their destiny. So called “FATE” from god.
