Wrapping up our year together with fono with some mind-bending aural stimulation as we host Kamran Sadeghi.

Kamran Sadeghi exists entirely in the moment, unbound by place or convention. Sadeghi’s multifaceted body of work spans scoring for film and choreography, live performance, audio and video art with electronic music at its core. His music is something you enter; it is physical, using sound as a sculptural material to create immersive spaces defined by hyper-magnified shifts and sharp, spatial punctuations.

RESONANCE+ PRESENTS RE:NI [RE:LAX]

Growing up listening to drum & bass and dubstep, re:ni’s sets join the dots between her dub-wise influences and contemporary bass-driven techno, electro, jungle and breaks. With shows at institutions like Panorama Bar, De School, Robert Johnson and fabric, she brings a UK sensibility to the dancefloor, bouncing across bpms with a record bag stacked full of deep basslines and broken rhythms.

Her monthly NTS show re:lax, together with Laksa, has become a fixture in the listening habits of all UK-minded music heads. Every month you’ll find listeners from all over the world tuning in to re:ni, Laksa and their guests to listen to the latest finds they present during their regular show.

RESONANCE+ is the upsized version of fono’s long-running night focusing on left-off-centre electronic music. Taking place outside its home turf, resident DJ, Mia will be bringing her heavier selections of rule-breaking and mutant dance tracks to a more club-focused setting along with special guest DJs and producers.

This event is a collaborative effort by Modulus and fono.

RESONANCE+ PRESENTS:

HELIOS XL [REVISION MUSIC]

Nez Senja, now also known as Helios XL, draws inspiration from a diverse range of influences, reflecting his belief in the timeless quality of music. This diversity is evident in his selection of music, which resonates with a wide audience.

A mainstay in Singapore’s nightlife circuit for over a decade since 2010, while playing one-off DJ sets in Bangkok, Bali, Hong Kong, Manila, Milan, New York, Kuala Lumpur & Shenzhen. His style oscillates between rocking a club dancefloor to mixing smooth beats at brand activations and special events.

The Helios XL alias launched in 2023, and a more focused sound graced the inaugural Boiler Room, Singapore, in July and the Sunda Festival in September.

MODULUS and SUBSTANCE presents ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U at Pisco this 4th May, 10pm onwards. Supporting acts to be announced soon.

Versatility does not even come close to describing why the humble Japanese DJ ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U is considered to be one of the best in the world by many of his peers. Your favorite DJ’s favorite DJ, Yukimatsu is originally from Osaka – where he ran his Zone Unknown parties – but is now based in Tokyo. His legendary mastery of the CDJs provides mind-bending but seamless connections of every imaginable genre. From his debut at DJ Nobu’s FUTURE TERROR event to performing three consecutive years at Berlin Atonal Festival, Yukimatsu’s sets have to be heard to be believed.

MODULUS presents Kukido (Cape Monze/Oscillations) at Sessions this 9th March, 10pm onwards.

Kukido (aka Daniel Arthur Panjwaneey) has been a driving force in the Pakistani underground music scene for over 20 years, blending broken techno, bass, breaks, two-step, and electro to create a unique high energy genre-fluid sound. Founder of Cape Monze Records and creator of the Oscillations event series, Kukido has also made a mark in the festival scene as the co-creator of the now-defunct Sine Valley, a grassroots experimental South Asian music festival in Nepal. In 2022, Kukido made history by performing on the first Boiler Room and Keep Hush broadcasts from Pakistan. As a producer, DJ, audio engineer, and curator, Kukido continues to push boundaries by bringing his high energy productions and sets to audiences worldwide.
