Hapi Festival Chinese New Year Bazaar Event Postponement Notice

Dear all,

Thank you for your continued support and interest in the Hapi Festival Chinese New Year Bazaar. The event, originally scheduled to take place from January 17th to January 26th, 2025, has been postponed due to the ongoing construction of the Kuching ART Station. The section of road near the event location (Jalan Tun Jugah, near Premier 101 Food Centre) is currently undergoing partial road closure, and according to the official announcement, construction is expected to continue until December 31st, 2025.

Given the inconvenience caused by road closures and safety concerns, we have decided to postpone the event. The new event dates have not yet been confirmed, but we will notify you as soon as more information is available.

Please stay tuned for updates via Facebook and Instagram, where we will share the new dates and any changes related to the event.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding and continued support. We look forward to celebrating with you at a later date. Thank you for your patience, and please keep an eye out for further announcements.

🪭 2025 Chinese New Year Colouring Contest 🖍️

Our Contest Objectives:
1. To cultivate children’s interest in Chinese New Year culture.
2. To promote creativity and discover children with creative potential.
3. To enhance children’s art skills and interests.

Eligibility:
• Category 1: Ages 4-8
• Category 2: Ages 9-12

Contest Dates:
January 18 & 25, 2025 (Saturdays)
Registration Fee: RM20

✅ Every participant will receive a certificate of participation ❤️

Registration Deadline:
Wednesday, January 15, 2025

Contest Timing:
• Category 1: 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM
• Category 2: 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM

Award Ceremony Timing:
• Category 1: 1:00 PM
• Category 2: 5:00 PM

Contest Rules:
1. Participants must bring their own coloring tools, stationery, tables, and chairs.
2. Participants may use colored pencils or crayons for coloring. Watercolors, markers, spray paints, and other materials are not allowed.
3. Participants may add creative drawings to their work, but they must be relevant to the theme.
4. Participants must complete and submit their work within the specified time; late submissions will not be accepted.
5. For fairness, parents are not allowed to enter the contest area.

(Note: The judges’ decisions are final, and no inquiries will be entertained.)

Prizes:
• Champion: RM200 cash + gift hamper + certificate
• 1st Runner-Up: RM150 cash + gift hamper + certificate
• 2nd Runner-Up: RM100 cash + gift hamper + certificate
• Consolation Prizes: 5 winners (stationery sets + certificates)
