✨MONTHLY WORKSHOP ANNOUNCEMENT ✨

We’re adding PANGIAH BEADS WORKSHOP to our line-up. Pangiah is a multi‑layered, colorful bead necklace traditionally worn by Bidayuh women as part of their ceremonial attire, now evolved into a cherished cultural symbol and fashion piece for celebrations, cultural dinners, and daily wear.

Conducted by Kak Lulu from Lilaluna Story, she will be teaching us how to make a Modern Pangiah.

Kabo Ulat Workshop ✨

Successfully conducted by aunty Mariam, an artisan with deep love for beading. Super proud to see old faces after almost 2 years (when Landik first started without any venue yet) 🥹

Participants get to cut their own strings and bead from scratch with the guidance from aunty Mariam. Some choose to take on a challenge and bead with different pattern. Slightly over 2 hours, participants manage to learn the technique of starting, connecting strings and ending the kabo ✨ some even bought pieces made by the artisan herself to wear !

While an easier craft-making workshop can still be arranged on a walk-in or appointment basis, this 💎Monthly Workshop Series💎 will feature artisans who are experienced in their craft.

Small Pouch Weaving Workshop ✨

Successfully conducted by aunty Helen from Baram with participants from various age group and gender. Super proud to see the varied crowd and keeping the technique!

Participants get to cut their own strands, further divide it to become thinner and weave from scratch. Other than Small Pouch, some choose to take on a challenge and weave a bottle holder. From 2 hours to 4 hours, some participants manage to complete their piece (swipe photos) ✨

We have not been as active as in 2023, but we are pushing through to find our new purpose to ensure we go a long way.

As we shift from offering solely workshops to creating products, we are super grateful for you who still support us.
