It’s a cool,cloudy Sunday and I’ve just finished spraying some plants which are infested with pesky mealybugs and spider mites. I know I’m supposed to be kind but I wish they’d go extinct.😡

I’m totally in love with this painted leaf begonia. Its leaves seem to have a metallic sheen of a green over a deep maroon. Simply beautiful especially under the light.

Poinsettias are a popular plant to have as decoration during Christmas as they have vivid red and green leaves which are quite common so when I saw this lovely pink specimen I knew I just HAD to have it.

Isn’t this cactus just adorable? Reminds me of Mickey Mouse’s ears. Looks cute but this little fella is covered with fine spines that are difficult to remove once embedded in your skin. And I’m speaking from experience. Best to admire this plant without touching.

I know this is a species of yam but I don’t know its exact name. I have never seen yam’s or ubi’s tiny blossoms or fruits. So fascinated by it.

These dessert forks studded with large semiprecious stones would make a lovely gift for any occasion such as a housewarming or a birthday present. I guess I have a thing for shiny objects. =)
