I’ve met many wonderful people who’ve come to me, especially when they tell me how they found me somewhere online and mention how they connected with what I’ve shared—more of my creative art journey than couples' photos. (I don’t share as much these days, or maybe I’m just slower at it.) But somehow, they still chose to hire me.
I’m genuinely grateful for those who appreciate the artistic side of me and trust my photography skills. Sometimes, I’m not even sure if I’m doing it right, but what matters most is that whenever I receive an assignment, I pour my heart into it.
I guess whatever you put out into the world has a way of finding the right people. I truly believe that 😌

When Jason contacted me about how he was going to propose to his cute girlfriend in a bar, I had a better idea. I decided to arrive earlier with my hired actor friend 😛 to set up a little plan. While Jason faked an excuse to go to the washroom, my friend and I approached her, pretending to be strangers, and kind of annoyed her by asking for help to take a photo with our phone.

I was super nervous, almost like I was the one proposing haha! Thankfully, my actor friend helped calm the situation by asking Jason's girlfriend the final, question that got her feeling really weird: "Are you forgetting something?" She turned around, confused—and there was Jason, kneeling down with a ring, popping the question.

She was completely shocked and had no idea that everyone in the bar was in the plan. Even the bartender played along, ensuring the playlist continued as usual and serving them food and drinks like regular customers.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get any footage of the actual proposal, just some clips of me being a nervous wreck before it all went down (lol—the last secret proposal i planned was years ago!). But honestly, Jason and his girlfriend are so adorable together, and I’m just so happy I got to witness such a precious moment!

It's not about an award-winning, perfectly composed image; it's about how I see them—willing to be present for each other and doing silly things for a photo, even with someone (me, the photographer) they barely know. If I can make someone feel comfortable in front of my camera, that's what truly matters. At the end of the day, the photos end up showing exactly who they are 🖤

Blogged and Vlogged✨
What a special day it was, getting to photograph Jane and Kevin’s wedding! (Fun fact: the bride’s name is also Jane!) It felt like two assignments rolled into one, I was their sole photographer capturing the wedding, and I also set up a fun scrapbook booth. This is what happens when a photographer really loves scrapbooking! I whipped up everything just a few days before (it was a last-minute request) and brought their guestbook vision to life. The guests got so creative! They wrote heartfelt messages and decorated the guestbook with stickers, photos, and Instax prints, using all the stationery supplies I provided. It was such a hit! And honestly, EVERY wedding should have a scrapbook station—seriously, how fun is ...

OMG YES, EVERY WEDDING SHOULD HAVE A SCRAPBOOK STATION✨ It was actually two special assignments in one day— I was the sole photographer capturing the wedding, and I also had a fun scrapbook booth set up. Huge thanks to my friend for helping out! It was such a special day, especially getting to photograph Jane and Kevin's wedding (yep, the bride's name is also Jane 😌). This is what happens when a photographer loves scrapbooking 🎨🖌️✂️ I prepared everything just few days before (it was a last minute request) and brought the guestbook to life! The guestbook I gave the couple as their 'scrapbook' guestbook is by 🤍 All the guests got so creative, writing their messages and decorating the guestbook with stickers, photos, and Instax prints using all the stationery supplies I provided. The idea totally worked out! These are the photos I took from the day (of course, I can’t wait to share more). Scroll towards the last few images where you’ll see the couple sitting down to look at their guestbook— because I wouldn’t let them near the station during the event, haha, it was a surprise! I’ve filmed some vlogs and can’t wait to share more soon!

When Derrick and Chien mentioned they’d feel super awkward in front of my camera even before we agreed on a shoot, I thought, “Oh, here we go again!” Almost every couple says the same thing—90% of them, actually. "We found Jane 2 weeks before the planned travel and shoot date. The main aim was to have something more authentic and intimate. She was so professional but yet casual in a good way, which helped us warm up really fast and the photos that came out was STUNNINGGG!! We are so so so happy with the photos and we had such an enjoyable experience with Jane. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

Google reviews and testimonials aren't super common here in Asia (Malaysia), so it was such a nice surprise to get a 5-star review from Stephanie! The first photo you're seeing was snapped just as the couple and I met, and they were already laughing and having fun. I knew right away that this session was going to be amazing, even though it was just a quick 2-hour shoot. I always tell my couples that it might feel a bit awkward at first, but as long as you're having a good time and just being yourselves, that awkwardness will fade away before you know it, and we'll have a blast capturing some great moments—just like we did. "I knew that Jane was the photographer we are looking for during our first meeting when she told us that she would perhaps edit photos in terms of color and lighting but will never edit them to make someone look more "attractive" or "slimmer". We really appreciate the transparency in communicating expectations on both ends.

We felt that we could just be our crazy silly selves without pretending and posing for the camera too much, and I say this not just for the bride and groom but also the bridesmaids and groomsmen. I was especially impressed by the photos taken for the tea ceremony because I originally thought that it would be quite boring since it was just us repeating the act of serving tea to different people, but Jane manages to capture the raw emotions of all our family members in the most honest way.

I remember her dragging us to the carpark of the restaurant because she thinks that it is more beautiful than the garden, and the photos were indeed gorgeous (Thank you Jane, we wouldn't have realised, what a good find)! We are also really impressed that she was able to capture the moments through the wedding from so many perspectives just by herself.

The photographs that we have received are not just mere images, one can really read stories through her works. It was an amazing experience and we couldn't be more grateful that Jane was our photographer."
