Vince Cheng
Violin Instructor
Born and raised in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, Vince Cheng studied at the Malaysia Institute of Art, majoring in Violin Performance Study in 2006. Later in 2011, he graduated with a Bachelors of Violin Performance from the ShenYang Conservatory of Music, China. Amidst his studies, Vince also competed in the Chamber Music Festival in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He was awarded
first prize, emerging as the winner of the competition amongst hundreds of contestants. Vince spent much of his education and teaching experience between China, Malaysia and Singapore. He had previously worked as a Music Instructor at the China Children's Palace (2008 - 2011), Yamaha Music School (2011 - 2012) and Christofori Music School (2013 - 2014) and has subsequently accumulated over 10 years of teaching experience. Since establishing his own music school in 2014, Vince have also been responsible for repair and service works of violins. His handiwork as a Luthier gained recognition from both students as well as the general public. Vince also travels extensively to accommodate and coordinate private lessons with flexibility for his students, and is an untiring advocate of teaching that encompasses patience and diligence.
