We are delighted to welcome Sugeng Waskito to SIFMA 5.0. An accomplished fashion designer and the creative force behind the Gee Batik brand, Sugeng is celebrated for his pioneering contemporary abstract batik motifs that blend traditional Indonesian patterns with modern design. Based in Yogyakarta, Sugeng has elevated the art of batik, incorporating elements like Kawong, Parang, and Nitik motifs into ready-to-wear collections that radiate both glamour and practicality. His use of premium materials such as silk, cotton, and Paris cloth adds a touch of sophistication, making each Gee Batik piece distinctive, simple, and elegant.

Sugeng’s influence extends internationally, with Gee Batik gracing prominent runways including Indonesia Fashion Week, Jogja Fashion Week, Solo Batik Fashion, Bali Fashion Festival, Jakarta Fashion Food Festival, and Ramadan Runway. His designs have captivated audiences at Hong Kong Fashion Week, Dubai Fashion Week, Emirates Fashion Week, and Indonesia Modest Fashion Week in Melbourne. We are thrilled to welcome Jeny Tjahyawati, a celebrated celebrity designer and award-winning figure in Moslem fashion, to SIFMA 5.0. Known for her modern, stylish, and progressive designs, Jeny has played a pivotal role in shaping the Moslem fashion industry, making it a significant and influential part of the Indonesian fashion scene. Her innovative approach and dedication have made her collections one of the leading names in the industry, loved for their unique fusion of traditional and contemporary elements.

A distinguished graduate from ASRIDE ISWI Jakarta with a major in Fashion Design, Jeny has expanded her expertise at IKJ Jakarta and launched her own fashion labels, JenY by Jeny Tjahyawati and Etnicant, which bring fresh, ready-to-wear Moslem fashion to a global audience. Beyond her brand, she is also an author, sharing her insights through her book Gaya Praktis Berkerudung ("Simple Style for Hijab"), offering practical style guidance for Moslem women. Her collections can be found at Moslem Fashion Gallery, Centro Department Store, Hijab Store, and online on JD.id, making her distinctive designs accessible to all.

"We are honored to welcome Bon Zainal Harun, Malaysia’s ‘King of Menswear,’ to SIFMA 5.0! Born in Terengganu and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Bon Zainal's fashion journey began in California, where he honed his skills at the prestigious School of Fashion & Merchandising in Los Angeles, graduating in 1985. His talent was quickly recognized in the United States, where he served as a council member at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising and was a charter member of GQ Magazine’s Reader Report. Under the mentorship of Hollywood stylist Rick Pallack, and with experience at Ralph Lauren’s Beverly Hills boutique, Bon gained invaluable insights that laid the foundation for his career.

Returning to Malaysia in 1990, Bon Zainal refined his expertise in menswear at Spark Manshop before establishing his own brand, Bon Fashion Legacy Sdn Bhd (BFL) in 2014. Known for impeccable craftsmanship, quality, and sophisticated designs, Bon Zainal’s collections cater to Malaysia’s elite, dressing Heads of State, CEOs, Ministers, and other luminaries. His dedication to excellence has earned him numerous awards, including the Muse Mercedes Benz Fashion Award 2010, the Mercedes Benz STYLO Fashion Award for Designer of the Year in 2014, the Mercedes Benz Lifetime Achievement Award in 2019, and the MDMPA Fashion Icon Award in 2020.

A pioneer of Malaysia’s fashion scene, Bon Zainal founded the Malaysia Bumiputra Designer Association (MBDA), promoting innovation and collaboration within the industry. His groundbreaking Tower Fashion Eleganza in 2023, held 300 meters above ground at KL Tower, showcased his visionary approach and cemented his reputation as a leader in fashion. Most recently, he was honored with the CHT Excellence Award for Fashion Design (Menswear) in 2024.

A graduate of UiTM Shah Alam with a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Wan Bynun turned a lifelong dream into reality by founding a boutique in the heart of Kuching in 2015. Since then, he has made remarkable strides in the fashion industry, both locally and internationally.

Wan Bynun's collections have graced prestigious runways such as Indonesia Modest Fashion Week, Serbia Fashion Week, Granada Fashion Week, Stockholm Digital Fashion Week, and Lombok International Modest Fashion Week, among others. One of the most memorable highlights of his career was showcasing at the Islamic Fashion Festival 2023 in Yogyakarta, attended by the Permaisuri Agong, the Queen of Malaysia, which underscored his growing prominence in the modest fashion industry.

With a unique design identity that blends traditional craftsmanship and modern aesthetics, Wan Bynun's work captures the essence of cultural heritage while offering chic, timeless fashion. "We are honored to welcome Dato' Raymond Jolly, the 2023 MFMPA Ethno Fashion Designer of the Year, to SIFMA 5.0! With a distinguished career spanning office administration, human resources, finance, project management, logistics, and politics, Dato' Raymond brings unparalleled expertise to the festival. His impressive 22-year tenure at Shell Malaysia and 7 years at MITI have paved the way for his success in the fashion world.

Dato' Raymond has made a name for himself internationally, winning the National Title in Batik Fashion in 2005 and first prize in Batik design in Italy in 2006, which led to the creation of his brand 'Vonjolly' and showcased his designs in London, Paris, and Jakarta. He is not only a celebrated designer but also a leader in the fashion community, organizing Alta Moda Sarawak 2019, serving as a Fashion Consultant at CENTEXS, and directing Miss International Sarawak. His contributions extend to shaping Miss International Malaysia 2024 and leading Miss Kebaya Sarawak, enhancing local fashion culture.
