my Aw discovered her calling after planning her sister’s wedding in 2005, from which Sugar & Spice was born. Wedding planning was always her cup of tea, however, these days - she creates and coordinates all events with the same attention to detail, tenacity and pizzazz, as if it was her own family affair. Sugar & Spice is proud to be on the recommended supplier list of some of the top wedding vendors in the country, which re-enforces our reputation in the industry. The celebration continued with an intimate dinner at the Kebaya Restaurant, where heartfelt and funny speeches brought tears and laughter. Guests savored every moment of the evening before heading to the courtyard to end the night dancing under the stars. ✨💃🕺

Gate crashing is a lively, time-honored Chinese wedding tradition that adds excitement and fun to the day! 🚗🎉 It begins with the groom and his entourage arriving at the bride’s home, only to be met with playful challenges from the bridesmaids before he can “win” his bride.

For Kelly and Sian, this meant a convoy of honking cars, laughter, and plenty of ang pows to get past the bridal party’s games. The tradition symbolizes the groom’s commitment and perseverance to reach his bride, showing he’s willing to go the distance (and then some!) for love. 💌

The night was full of surprises, including a vibrant flash mob where the entire family joined in, creating an electrifying atmosphere. 💃🕺 After all the excitement, Zoe and Lyman shared a sweet dance together, surrounded by smiles and joyful cheers.

As if that wasn’t enough, guests were treated to a delightful "apom balik" stall, serving up delicious Penang hawker-style pancakes for supper. It was a perfect end to a magical evening! 🍽️

The celebration continued at Kebaya Restaurant, where Evonne and YS enjoyed a sumptuous feast of Peranakan cuisine. The evening was made even more special when YS serenaded Evonne with a heartfelt song, holding her hand as they made their grand entrance into the reception.

Surrounded by friends and family, they shared touching speeches, heartfelt toasts, and a joyous champagne pouring that perfectly capped off their day. The love and laughter shared at the reception made it an unforgettable end to a truly magical wedding.
