Through his extensive 30-plus years travels around the globe as a Hall of Fame golfer, Ernie has been exposed to and appreciated some of the world’s greatest wines. In 1999 he decided to pursue his developing passion for fine wine with the creation of Ernie Els Wines. Thoughtfully selected for its prime position in the Golden Triangle of Stellenbosch, the Ernie Els Winery is framed by panoramic views of Cape Town and Table Mountain to the west and Stellenbosch and the Helderberg Mountains to the east.

Since officially opening in 2005, the focus has been on producing a range of wines, with a particular focus on Cabernet Sauvignon. Recent renovations have transformed the winery into an iconic symbol of the Helderberg region and a go-to destination for local and international wine lovers.
