There’s this moment just before a proposal happens…

Everyone get’s quiet when she arrives, blind folded she is led to the set up, you only hear the crash of the ocean waves, seabirds chirping away and the clicking sound of the camera crew.

We’re always standing a few meters away, waiting for the future bride to take off her blindfold. She is met with amazement in the moment. I love the tears that roll down her cheek as she turns around and sees him kneeling.

We can never hear what he says to her as it’s a private moment but what we can see is the different emotional expressions on their faces as they take in the moment.

This proposal, like so many others, is the reason I get to do what I love ! Seeing two souls, two families come together and be ONE.

We recently had the opportunity to decorate a very special lady’s kitchen tea on Long beach. We were asked for a Mamma Mia theme with pinks and blues. A more modern styled Mamma Mia theme for a classic kitchen tea on the front porch.

Sorry we’ve been quiet ! We are incredibly blessed with so much work that we’re not getting to social media BUT we’re not complaining. 🙏

When you start anything in life, you begin at the bottom. When I started Jen's Events it was a small picnic at the Lagoon of Walvis Bay for friends of mine. I never thought that after almost 3 years, that I will have the capacity for bigger and better event set up’s. 🙈

Events like these, make me realize how far I’ve come. To some it might look like nothing special but to me and my clients, it means the world. That I can be constant and disciplined to grow and achieve. Sure, we all have bumps in the road but nothing gives me greater joy than seeing my small picnic business, develop into this. 🙏

Humble beginnings has made me realized that it’s difficult to do anything alone. You will constantly see people being tagged in our posts because I believe giving a shout out to the help is what make’s your business great. Success is achieved by those who help you along the way. 😊 Therefor, I will always be happy for other’s successes because I know the struggle.

Thank you The Namibian cooking journey by chef David for always dragging me along on these beach set up’s. Thank you for using us and taking a chance when I was still only doing picnic’s. Now I am able to be doing the same for others. 🙏

Thank you Leonie Botha for always helping me with decor. This tannie really goes out of her way to help others. 💕

Also, for the first time, thank you Shaunelle Dias for the editing of the photos. I took them with my cellphone so she really tried to save them. I couldn’t get hold of a photographer for the event but non the less I found her and she did an amazing job ! 📸

“ There is no love that feels like yours in this world and I would say yes and yes all over again ! “

We recently had the great opportunity to once again construct a proposal set up and… boy oh boy did it turn out STUNNING !

Overlooking the ocean, we set up a proposal for two new clients of ours. We included a snack platter that consisted out of multiple sweet desserts and savory treats, camembert cheese with crackers and jam and paired it with a bottle of their favorite J.C le Roux sparkling wine.

With the wind picking up in the evenings, we decided to add blankets for comfort and coziness.

We opt for a Bohemian styled set up with rustic colours, shades of browns with a touch of white, pampas grass and wooden structures placed to perfection.

Why only have a perfect wedding if you can have a perfect proposal as well !

Special shout out to Jullzproductions for capturing these memories ! It’s absolutely wonderful working with you. Will definitely see you again !

I think you can tell someone was very happy ☺️💍

Last week we did this dune set up and got to capture all of these special moments between our clients AND their friends ! It’s always such a great moment to witness an engagement. You get to see the excitement on the faces around you, phones out - everyone wants to capture the moments and then of course the celebration afterwards ! 🥂

🌊 Did someone say beachside lunch ? 👀

Feast your eyes on our beachside set up for a group of 33 Russian tourists, kids included ! This package included a fishing trip with the men while the women were shopping around in town, followed by a delicious lunch at the beach by the one and only team from The Namibian cooking journey by chef David ! 🍨🌮
