_*When Abraham Lincoln became the president of America, his father was a shoemaker. And, naturally, egoistic people were very much offended that a shoemaker’s son should become the president.*_

_On the first day, as Abraham Lincoln entered to give his inaugural address, just in the middle, one man stood up. He was a very rich aristocrat. He said, _*"Mr. Lincoln, you should not ꜰorget that your father used to make shoes for my family.”*_ And the whole Senate laughed; they thought that they had made a fool of Abraham Lincoln.

_But certain people are made of a totally different mettle. Lincoln looked at the man directly in the eye and said,

_*“Sir, I know that my father used to make shoes for your family, and there will be many others here because he made shoes the way nobody else can”. He was a creator. His shoes were not just shoes; he poured his whole soul into them. I want to ask you, have you any complaint? Because I know how to make shoes myself. If you have any complaint I can make you another pair of shoes. But as far as I know, nobody has ever complained about my father’s shoes. He was a genius, a great creator and I am proud of my father”.*_

_The whole Senate was struck dumb. They could not understand what kind of man Abraham Lincoln was. He was proud because his father did his job so well, with so much enthusiasm, such a passion, and perfection._

*_It does not matter what you do. What matters is how you do it of your own accord, with your own vision, with your own love. Then whatever you touch becomes gold._*

How to use;

Take an aloe vera leaf, peel the outer covering and extract the gel from inside

Apply the gel two times a day for best results.

2- Baking soda

Baking soda is a common household item with enormous uses, including the ability to help heal scars.

It is composed of sodium bicarbonate crystals which gently exfoliate skin when used as a cleansing scrub.

How to use it;

Just mix a few teaspoons of baking soda with enough water to form a thick paste then massage into skin where scars are present. Once applied, you should leave the mixture on for a minute or two.

This will allow the soda to cleanse pores and help prevent further blemishes. After a couple of minutes, wash your face in lukewarm water and apply a good natural moisturizer like, jojoba, coconut, or olive oil.

3- Coconut oil

Coconut oil is at the top of the list when it comes to natural moisturizers with healing properties.

How to use it:

Scoop about a quarter of a teaspoon of virgin coconut oil into the palm of your hand and let it melt as it comes up to body temperature.

With your finger, rub it on your face and allow to stay as long as you want.

Honey

Onions

Lime.

Marriage will come for you eventually, God will do it, but when it comes, it will come not just with the Privileges but with RESPONSIBILITIES.

28 RICE COOKING TIPS AND TRICKS

1. If your rice is burnt, place a slice of bread on it, the burnt smell will go off. Please, after adding the bread slice, place the pot lid on and leave to cook for about 5 minutes to absorb all that burnt smell.

2. To warm your leftover white rice, don't scatter it in the pot. Just add a little water and simmer on a very low heat until it is hot. Nobody will know you just warm it.

3. If your rice is burnt, but not soft for consumption, reduce the heat to low heat, then cover your rice with aluminum foil paper or nylon and then cover the pot tightly and cook for sometime, it will get soft.

4. The three important things to look for while cooking your rice are: colour, flavour, and texture.

5. Never use your kitchen spoon to turn your Jollof rice; you can even divide the rice into 2 parts, but rather use your wooden spoon.

6. You can use salt to parboil your rice, in order to remove the starch from the rice quick.

7. Make sure you parboil your rice for 5 to 10 minutes, before rinsing it with clean water.

8. Whenever, you are cooking any of the foodstuff like rice, always boil the water, before adding the rice.

9. Adding few drops of lemon juice in the water, before boiling the rice, helps to make rice whiter.

10. Adding teaspoon of vegetable oil in the water before boiling the rice, helps to separate each grain after cooking.

11. Don't throw away the rice water after parboiling. You can use it to water your home plants for nutrients.

12. Put few leaves of mint or bay leaves in the container/bag of rice, helps to keep insects at bay.

13. Adding butter or vegetable oil to your boiling rice, helps to give it a nice texture.

14. You can boil rice with much water, drain the excess water when the rice is cooked, helps to have free non sticky grains.

15. Adding seasoning cube and salt to your boiling rice, can make you enjoy it without stew or sauce.

16. You can cook your rice in the oven, which helps to prevent sticking
