Checkout John 6:12 " When they had all had enough to eat, he said to his disciples, “Gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be wasted.”

Let nothing be wasted!

THREE THINGS YOU CAN DO WITH YOUR LEFTOVER FOODS.

1. You could give it to homeless and poor kids on the streets
(Be Charitable, and not wasteful)
there are lots of children who need food. We see them everyday begging on the streets.

2. You can try to reinvent your leftovers into something delicious by adding a thing or two...
Developing new recipes and trying new flavours can be fun ! 😋 turn that leftover into a whole new meal.

3. You could also feed your pets with your leftover, just be sure that it's free from bones 😉 and can be consumed by them.

THREE SIMPLE THINGS YOU CAN DO TO AVOID FOOD WASTE

1. Never buy what you can't finish and can't store properly.
(Especially if you are experiencing shortage in power🔋supply )

2. Write ✍ your grocery list before heading to the market.. that way you would be sure you are buying what is needed, and not shopping by impulse

3. Be sure you check the best buy dates or expiration date before purchasing, that way you won't waste money. (just incase you make a purchase of an expired item, use your senses to ascertain that it can no longer be edible before discarding it.) Use your eyes 👀, your nose 👃 and your tongue 👅 as may apply.

Now.... this is the icing on the cake!

The road to success is not at all easy oh.... when i started this particular course, i thought it will be a work over for many reasons! But little did i know 😃 😅. The beginning was so easy, and i thought in few months i would be done! But as i kept progressing in the course outline, it downed on me that i may spend quite some time in achieving this certificate... the further we go, the more difficult and intense it was.

Although i had a very supportive facilitator, i must say, i think i got way too much value for the money i paid for this course....

Event Planning and Management has always been one business i knew i would always do sometime in the future as a caterer, as i often find myself helping clients out in planning their events as a caterer. And truth is that you can't totally remove yourself from it if you work in the hospitality industry.

So January 2021 i started this course, and while at it, i go quiet a handful of jobs, which helped me in practicalizing what i was learning! It was very interesting and revealing.

Finally i was done, did my project submitted and passed with excellent results 🙌 👏 😀 👌

So, in my quest to diversify my services, i also went ahead to study, and acquire a certification in Professional Kitchen Skills....

Spent the better part of 2022 acquiring knowledge in different subject matter.

I refuse to be boxed, there is so much to do, so many lives to touch, and one source of income won't cut it!

Having just the basic knowledge of working in the kitchen wasn't enough for me, I needed to acquire more to be the professional that i am, and like i said earlier, to add to my sources of income.. but most of all.... to be approved!

Glory be to God Almighty for the grace to have achieved this globally recognised certificate.

Just as i had said in my previous post, i took on a journey to expand my scope of service in the hospitality industry and also for the seek of acquiring more knowledge, and be in touch with the recent trend and skills in the industry. Amongst the three courses, this is one! "Professional Waiter" As you know as an Event caterer, you will be required from time to time to provide waiter service (servers as some people call it) along side the food smiling😁😀. (One reason i like this extra service is that, it gives me the opportunity to enage and impact idle youths, at least giving them a source of income)

Permitte me to say, that is scripture is also very applicable in the business world 🌎 especially in todays day & age!

The status quo is ever changing and one must keep to the dynamic nature of their spheres....

knowledge + certificate = more opportunities

I can do it, i can do it.... ok do it! You do it, they like it,... Next they ask..... are you certified 🤔? They need a paper to also hold on to!

You look up, you look down, then you smile😊 and say yes, I do! You present it to them! WaLa! You get the job!

Do not let anyone deceive you that you don't need to acquire more or professional certifications, gone are the days when it is by who you know!

If you must achieve significant progression in life, then you must be ever willing to go the extra mile...

There are lots of free courses that can now be taken online at your pace, do well to make use of them! There are also paid, and discounted prices too, the Internet is a positive tool, use it to your advantage!
