*Benue All-stars Reunion (BAR) Talent Hunt 2024/2025*

Detailed Instructions for Contestants
1. Registration Details
(a) Registration closes on 31st December 2024. Ensure you complete the registration form before this date.
(b) Upon completing the registration form, each contestant will be assigned a mentor.

2. Mentor Assignment and Changes
(a) Contestants have until 31st December 2024 to request a change of their assigned mentor if they are not satisfied.
(b) If satisfied with your mentor, proceed to pay the registration fee of NGN 6,500 to the following account:

*Fee Waiver for Contestants from Sankera and Orokam:*
(a) Philanthropists have fully paid the registration fees for contestants from Sankera and Orokam communities. If you are from these communities, kindly inform your mentor for the waiver of the NGN 6,500 registration fee.

3. Media Launch Invitation
(a) All contestants are invited to the Benue All-stars Reunion Media Launch:
Date: 19th December 2024
Venue: Precious Lounge, Old GRA, Makurdi
Time: 8:00 PM to Midnight
The event offers:
(a) Opportunities for photos and press interviews.
(b) Networking with potential sponsors and investors.
(c) Refreshments will be provided and fully covered by the BAR organizers.

4. Contest Stages
Stage 1: Online Voting
Duration: 1st January 2025 to 28th February 2025.
Activity: Contestants will work with their mentors to produce a 30-second video aimed at convincing online audiences to vote for them.
Voting Mechanism: Online votes will be based on the number of likes received on your video.
Incentives: Contestants will have opportunities to win weekly and monthly gifts and cash prizes until the end of March 2025.

Stage 2: “My Claim to Benue” Video
Duration: 1st March 2025 to 31st March 2025.
Activity: Contestants guided by their mentors will upload a 30-second video titled "My Claim to Benue".
In this video, contestants must:
Explain their relationship with Benue.
Convince the audience why they deserve to be icons or ambassadors of Benue entertainment.
Outcome: At the end of March, the Top 10 contestants will advance to the Final Stage.

Stage 3: Final Stage - Live Performances for finalists only
Duration: 13th April to 20th April 2025.
Schedule:
BAR Carnival: 13th to 17th April
Trainings/Capacity Development Seminars: 18th to 19th April (for all registered contestants).

BAR Talent Hunt Finals & Reunion: 19th April.
The final stage will involve live performances, providing contestants with an opportunity to showcase their talents to a broader audience and compete for top honors.
On the 19th the top contestant will be crowned and offered a 1 year contract under BAR along with other prizes from our sponsors, while the 2nd and 3rd runners up will be given consolation prizes

BAR Awards & Gala Night: 20th April.
An After party of sorts ands an opportunity to thank supporters and stand out stakeholders

5. Post-Competition Management
Mentor Management: Please note that all unpaid mentors reserve the right to manage their mentees for a minimum of 1 year following the end of the competition.

*Important Reminders:*
(a) Complete your registration and confirm satisfaction with your mentor before 31st December 2024.
(b) Contestants from Sankera and Orokam should communicate with their mentors for a fee waiver. Benue philanthropists from other communities may also sponsor along the line - if this happens we shall communicate to relevant contestants.
(c) Attend the Media Launch on 19th December 2024 to maximize visibility and networking opportunities.
(d) Follow the timeline for video submissions and participation in all stages to ensure your eligibility for the finals.
