Hi, my name is Ayomide, and this is how the journey began. On this so-called day, I was watching a movie with a friend at my place when my fuel ran out. The first thing I said was ‘Oh no’ because I was really enjoying the movie and didn’t expect it. I got dressed and told my friend that we needed to quickly go and get fuel to fill my generator. On our way, we stopped at the bank to make a withdrawal, and that’s when this angel called Damilola stepped into the story. I spotted her from afar and immediately tapped my friend, telling him to look at this beautiful lady. He told me they knew each other and that she was a respectful, delightful, and well-trained girl. That compliment melted my heart, and when she got closer, my friend said hi to her, and they waved to each other. But I told him I wasn’t going to let this opportunity pass me by, so I dragged him to let us cross the road , and I ran after her. The first thing I overheard her saying was, ‘Where did my friend meet this small boy?’ I laughed out loud because that statement made me look back. But I said to myself that I’m a grown handsome man, and everyone want me , but I overlooked that and got closer to her, saying ‘Hi, beautiful.’ She responded with ‘Ehn, ehn,’ and I told her to take it easy, that I would like to be friends and asked for her number. Only God knows why she gave it to me after looking down on me, but I felt so lucky and laughed until I got home. My friend had left because the weather was already dark. After getting home, I texted her, and the way she responded and the way we connected that night was so amazing. I can’t even put into words how I felt after receiving the same energy from her. And that’s how the journey began and never ended again. We had our beautiful, sad, playful, and angry moments, disagreements, and so much more. We give thanks to God for making this journey easy for us and also making us fortunate to have met at the right time and for the great daughter she has used to bless us in this relationship . I love her so much ❤️
