1. Don’t cover your legs. You are better off wearing a bodycon dress or any other outfit slightly above knee or on your knee. Except of course there’s a dress code.
-Avoid trousers completely if you can.
-Majority of outfits worn by hostesses are dresses.Have an appearance or style of dress appropriate and related to your role.

2. I don’t like make up, that is why I don’t do it .
“Aunty!!! In 1980s maybe that theory would work, but I’m 2023, I won’t and cannot work.
-If you don’t know how to make yourself up; call a friend to assist you even if it’s just for that interview day.
-Do not leave any stone unturned, bring all your best to the table.

3. Always keep an eye contact when talking.
-Ensure that you maintain eye contact when giving a speech. If you are addressing more than one person give at least 3-5 seconds to each and go over it again.
-Less than 3secs represents fear, untrustworthy or lack of confidence. -Above 5secs continuously becomes a stare. Avoid it.

4. If only you know the power of smile… Kai!!
-Even if you are not getting it right, your smile can come in as a cheat.
-Smiling consistently when you’re being interviewed as a hostesses is the best and surest path of getting a call back. Just keep smiling…..

5. Don’t cover your face with your hair. -Go for center parting long wigs, weave on or completely short hair.
-Try to avoid braids: Braiding makes you look too young and it’s sometimes seen as inflexible.
