Samuel Ogazi takes on silver in his first NCAA Outdoor Championships in 44.52s. This further lowers his Personal Best (PB), School Record (SR) and National U20 Record (NU20R). Samuel finished closely behind Christopher Morales who got the win in 44.47s.

Tima Godbless becomes the only freshman to qualify for the 100m, 200m and the 4x100m final at the 2024 NCAA Championship.

Running her fourth sub 51s over the 400m this season is Ella Onojuvwevwo during the semi-finals at the National Championships in Eugene.

Ella Onojuvwevwo went 50.70s in the last heat of the women's 400m to qualify for her first final at the National Championship.

Three Nigerians into the final of the men's 100m dash at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

Ajayi Kanyinsola leads with his 10.09s(0.3) in heat 1 ahead of Favour Ashe who grabbed one of the fastest non-automatic times in 3rd place with 10.13s. Godson Oghenebrume in heat 3 finished in second despite a poor start with 10.23(-0.3).

All on the line to have another Nigerian be an NCAA Champion after Divine Oduduru did in 2019.

A shining star rising from the land of the stars, her name Justina Tiana Eyakpobeyan. She has shown to be a great feature for a great future for Team Nigeria. Risen, Fast and delivered when it mattered.

Last weekend at , clocked a personal record of 11.24s to beat one of the nation's best. Yet again in Ghana today, led a 1-2 finish in 11.52s into a headwind of 3.4m/s.

A star of greatness she is, watch out!

The CAA Region II Seniors Championships hosted by Ghana will commence tomorrow at the University of Ghana Stadium. This will serve as an Olympic qualifying event and our athletes will be competing to hit the standards or fall within the qualifying quota through the points awarded by World Athletics through it.

Remember in March when the African Games was held, the actions from the sprints were almost all into headwinds, hopefully the story changes this time.

The NCAA D1 Outdoor Championships is regarded as one of the best championships held every year and the 2024 edition of it is finally here with our athletes ready to deliver at Oregon this week. All eyes on the prize, every man competing for the crown of being called a National Champion.

Since Tobi Amusan did it in 2017 and was crowned an NCAA Champion. Favour Ofili a runner up in 2022 and they all went on doing great. As long as they can, you can!

Rosemary Chukwuma has become the first Nigerian in 2024 to do a legal sub-11s in the 100m. She clocked a Personal Best, School Record, National Champs and Olympic Ticket with 10.88s(1.2) to win her heat.

Rosemary becomes the 2nd 🇳🇬 to get an Oly ticket in the 100m.

Ella Onojuvwevwo ran a controlled race to win her 400m in Lexington with another sub 51s. She won in 50.77s for a ticket to Oregon. Oke Opeyemi who was also in the race ran a lifetime best of 52.18s but won't advance.

Chidozie Kalu is off to his first National Championships in the triple jump at the East Regional with a best of 15.79m. Goodness Iredia produced a best of 15.68m but fell short of qualification.

The Iowa Freshman, Precious Irivi landed a personal best of 15.57m at the West and will miss out on qualification. Likewise, Godwin Charles in 15.34m and Erhire Omamuyovwi in 15.08m.
