Take A Step...

"The journey of a thousand miles begins with a step"

This may seem like an overused cliché but it certainly isn't. 🤥

In 2018, I took a bold step I had never taken before. I decided to sew my wedding dress myself. 👰‍♀️

Prior to this moment, I had sewn dresses from straight skirts to simple gowns, pants etc. But never a wedding dress. 👀
At this point, I had no clue whatsoever as to where to purchase bridal fabrics, bridal accessories, adornments and so on.

All I had was the resolution to sew my dream dress. 💪

Once the decision was made, work began. I spent the day sketching what I'd love to wear as I walk radiantly down the aisle. The nights were spent researching on fabrics. 🔍🔎

I burnt the midnight candle time and time again. Just not on books but at the machine.

Eventually,my dress was just what I wanted it to be. It was indeed my dream dress.

But, ☝️

beyond that,

it was a dress I made. I made my wedding dress and it was perfect. I must have been the happiest bride to say "I do". ☺️

I was excited to be married to the love of my life and proud to be doing so in a bridal wear I made.

That was my first step. A key step towards the birth of Aim & Aby Bridals.

Today, Aim & Aby Bridals is a bridal wear brand that specializes in creating exceptional wedding attires.

And now, we are officially open on Facebook!!
