So,the preparation goes thus

In a 10liters of water...remove 6liters of water..

-In the 6liters of water,dissolve your nitrosol by stirring...
-Dissolve caustic soda in 1liter of water and leave for 2hours
-Then add the dissolved caustic soda to your nitrosol
While you dissolve caustic soda in water,dissolve soda ash in separate buckets with 2liters of water for 2hours too

You must dissolve each of them in different bowl

Mix Sulphonic and texapon together without water,mix very well till it's smooth and add to the mixture
-Add soda ash(you know you have dissolve it for 2hours)...add it to your mixture
-Add SLS with 1liter of water...so add to the mixture and stir very well with the spectula
-Add STPP directly to your solution
-Add foaming booster and stir
-Add color and stir
-Add perfume and stir
-Add formalin and stir
N:B-Formalin is optional because it's preservatives

Then,your soap is ready

N:B-Before you add color,dissolve it in little water first,you just need little color or you pour every of the color inside bottle,add water,then you will just be adding little of it into your soap production

Then,if you are unable to package it same day,pour it in a keg...don't leave open in an uncovered bowl

Do not use metal or steel while producing because some of the chemicals are hot...use wood for turning

So,everything is 10liters of water been used...you can add more water if you wish...it depends on how you want your soap to be thick

-Perfume
-Formaline(Preservatives)

N:B-As a new beginners,When getting the chemicals...tell them to label the chemicals for you so as it identify them...

Also,tell them to give you quantity of chemicals to whatever liters you want to make...starting from 5liters upward

Firstly,we will be teaching and introducing the chemical products....

-Caustic Soda(Sodium Hydroxide)...it's also called LYE
It serves as stain removing and thickening agent.
Caustic soda is a solid white or slight yellowish powder that is corrosive.It is used to change fats into soap...it should not come in contact with your skin because it can burn your skin...N:B-use gloves when using it

-Nitrosol:cleaning and thickening agent.
Nitrisol is a binding agent that also serve as thickening agent...it is also slightly yellowish powder

-Soda Ash:thickening and cleaning agent..It helps to soften hard water.It also helps as a cleaning agent enhances the washing performance of the liquid soap

-Sulphonic Acid:foaming and cleaning agent....it makes liquid soap more natural

-Sodium Tripolyphosphate(STPP):cleaning and thickening agent

-Texapon:a foaming booster agent

-Formalin-As preservative to help the products stay for a long time

Today...we will be taking BLEACH, MULTIPURPOSE LIQUID SOAP AND VIM/SCOURING POWDER PRODUCTION....

CHEMICALS NEDED FOR BLEACH PRODUCT ARE:
1.Soda Ash
2.Chlorine
3.Caustic Soda
4.Industrial Salt(as preservatives)
5.Water

PROCEDURE goes thus:
-Measure out 4liters of water
-Add Soda Ash(300g)
-Add Chlorine(300g)
-Add Industrial Salt(250g) as preservatives
-Add Caustic Soda(150g)
-Stir with the long wooden turning stick for about 10mins for the particles to dissolve
-Allow it to settle down for 2 to 3days
-Decant it into another container

The transparent liquid one in plain color like water is the bleach...
-Then you can package for use or sale

N:B-You can produce your bleach without Industrial Salt...It only stand as preservatives...

That is the end of BLEACH PRODUCTION..

common doughnut mistakes, causes and possible solutions

hey bakers 🥰 let's talk about another error in making doughnut.
the first error we talked about was soggy doughnut, we highlighted the causes and solutions.
today, we'll be talking about hard doughnut.

doughnut is meant to be fluffy and have a bread- like texture, not crumbly or hard. (amaka, your client is not supposed to be having chest pain because she's eating your doughnut🙄).

this particular error is caused by;
1. inaccurate measurement:
you either used too much flour (maybe from kneading) or your butter was too small. your recipe wasn't too balanced which will result to your final product being too hard.

3. you didn't knead enough: amaka, doughnut is work😂. doughnut needs you to knead it well and we'll enough. it requires banging and hitting it(if you're not using mixer) and if you fail to knead well, you'll experience hard doughnuts.

3. you used a dead yeast:
yeast has a whole lot to do with do with the final outcome of our doughnut. using a dead yeast will prevent your dough from rising and becoming light.

solutions
1. follow your recipe accurately. also, avoid using too much flour in the process of kneading so as to avoid excess.

2. knead well and long enough. to know if your dough is well kneaded, it becomes elastic and stretches well enough before cutting off. get a sturdy platform and knead well before portioning.

3. of course, ensure your yeast is not dead. avoid storing your yeast anyhow. preferably, put it in a dark place in an airtight container to keep it alive and active.

CARROT CAKE RECIPE

2 cups All Purpose Flour
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup vegetable oil
2 cups finely grated carrots
2 large eggs
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp ginger powder
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup raisins (optional)
3/4 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 170 Degrees Celsius.

1. In a large bowl add oil ,white and brown sugar . Beat until light .
2. Mix in the eggs one at a time .Add buttermilk and vanilla then mix well .
3. Sift in flour , baking powder, bicarbonate of soda , salt , cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger . Then gently mix .
4. Add the grated carrots, walnuts and raisins . Gently mix.
5. Line 2 baking pans with parchment paper. Divide the batter (mixture) equally in 2 baking pans .
6. Bake in a preheated oven for 30-35 minutes minutes or until well baked . Note: Baking time depends on your oven .
Let the cakes cool off completely before taking them out of the baking pan.

White fondant-like Buttercream Recipe

Ingredients
1. Susan icing sugar
2. Shortening
3. Flavour
4. Water
5. Salt
6. Powdered milk (optional)

Measurement
1. 1kg Icing sugar
2. 300g shortening
3. ½TBSP of flavour
4. ⅓ cup of water
5. A pintch of salt
6. Milk as you wish.
[ ] Note: shortening can be referred to as white margarine.

Procedure:
• Pour the water into your mixing bowl
• Add the salt and flavour
• Add the shortening
• Mix at any volume of speed for 5 to 10minutes
• Then gradually add the icing sugar bit by bit
• Mix between 10 to 20minutes
• Please no extra water to avoid it being too soft and watery.

Wow you now have your white fondant-like buttercream😇😇

👉Avoid stretching the dough

👉Make use of cold water to mix the dough and keep the dough in fridge allow to rest before adding filling

👉 You can also keep your binding refrigerated

Baking is a science. It’s important to understand the reactions.

We need to talk about baking powder and baking soda… and you can totally copy my homework if you need to. It’s cool.

The difference between baking soda and baking powder:

Baking soda and baking powder are both odorless white powders that work their magic in our cakes. Though they’re both white powders, the two are certainly not interchangeable. Let’s talk about the facts behind these baking essentials.

Baking soda is also known as sodium bicarbonate. I told you we were talking science. Stay with me.

When sodium bicarbonate meets with heat, carbon dioxide gas is formed. It’s this gas that gives rise to our favorite cakes, cookies and biscuits. There is one drawback to the production of this gas. When heated, sodium bicarbonate also produces sodium carbonate, which doesn’t taste very good. If you’ve ever eaten any metallic tasting cakes or biscuits, you know what I’m talking about.

Thankfully, the metallic taste of sodium carbonate can be neutralized by acid. Lemon, yogurt, buttermilk, and unsweetened natural cocoa powder can neutralize the taste of sodium carbonate and keep our baked goods risen and lifted.(remember the post on cocoa powders?)

Baking powder is a mixture of baking soda and acid. Yea! Baking powder is part baking soda! Baking powder is made up of baking soda, a powdered acid, and cornstarch.

Most baking powders are labeled ‘double-acting’ meaning they release a small amount of carbon dioxide gas when they’re stirred into the batter or dough, but they release a majority of their precious gas when triggered by the heat of the oven.

Because baking powder is a leavener that contains both the sodium bicarbonate and the flavor-saving acid, it is usually paired with non-acid ingredients like whole milk and Dutch-processed cocoa.

Baking soda need an acid. Baking powder has an acid. We made that science easy, right?
