*TOPIC: FROM LOSS TO RESTORATION*
_“Howbeit the hair of his head began to grow again after he was shaven." Judges 16:22._
*MESSAGE*
Samson lost everything. He lost his hair, his strength, his sight, his position, his family, and his reputation. The mightiest man in Israel was now being tortured in a Palestine dungeon. However, at his lowest point, Samson cried out to God for help, and got it. The hair on his head began to grow again. His hair, which was the secret of his strength, was restored. And he's mentioned alongside the other heroes of faith in Hebrews 11:32.
When we're at our lowest points, when we're hunting, we can know that God hears our cries and he will help us, free us and provide for us. We just need to be patient. Waiting can be challenging; we want the situation to be resolved and we can sometimes think that we won't make it through. But God's help is on its way. When Job was facing illness, the death of family members and the destruction of everything he owned, he said: *"I wait, till my change comes." (Job 14:14).* God restored Job and gave him back twice as much as he lost.
God wants to do the same for us. We can be sure that God will renew us. The Bible says: *"But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." (Isaiah 40:31).* So when we are struggling, we don't need to fear. God will renew our strength and help us through.
