Impartation Foods is an indigenous catering and hospitality business enterprise with headquarters in Lagos and soon to be spreading branches nationwide in Nigeria. IMPARTATIONS’ Grilling idea was conceived by our MD/COO over 27yrs ago as a youthful fantasy with desires to cater for people and watch them enjoy his cooking. The desire heightened when he launched out with his first attempt to open a
fast food restaurant at Ogba Lagos Nigeria in 1992, but for financial constraints. He eventually put the plans in an incubator waiting for the right time.
Over the years, our MD/COO had carried on with undertaking outdoor catering services jobs, events planning and execution, plus much of grilling mouth-watering BBQs for small to medium scale customers during parties and small gatherings both within Nigeria and a few African countries like Ghana, Kenya and Ethiopia. Various grilling techniques have been practiced, including using various heat sources like Charcoal fired, Gas fired, Electric, Santa Marie style of wood fire. His favourite is currently the Backyarder style of “Low and Slow” cooking method for Barbecues with charcoal and wood fired grills. Some of his most popular cache phrases include “Innovative Cooking”, Re-engineered Grills and Grilling”, “Extra Crusty”, “Extra Smoky”, “Extra Spicy”, “Extra Hot”, “wherever we can start a fire, we can cook”. He is not selfish with his ideas, always enthusiastic to discuss and share with others new skills, techniques, and modern ideas to improve or provide solutions to challenges other young and even competitive grillers may have experienced. With his early days cooking experience gained from mum and siblings, his strong Engineering background and skills, he quickly learns and understands the Science of cooking great BBQs, thus very innovative in tweaking equipment, fires and other accessories to produce the right results every time, anywhere. He has interacted with World Class Competition BBQ Cooks, Chefs, Pit Masters, and Backyarders from around the world, learning all about the science, craft and art of delivering exquisite barbecued food and accompaniments. Thanks to social media platforms like Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Google+, Skype etc., plus travelling exposures, farm life and village life in his early years. We cook all our meats, fish etc. over charcoal fires, fires of lump-wood charcoal, briquettes from oak & cherry hard woods. We use other wood chips to add further flavour to our famous steaks and BBQs. One of our key focus area is in ensuring warmth of service, a satisfactory and memorable munching experience for all of our customers either eat in guests or take away customers. There are subtle differences from ‘regular’ restaurant service and catering for large parties. This area of our business has grown exponentially over our first 3 years and we have already forged strong relationships with many local businesses and DMC’s.
