Oh God, make the graves of our dead the most beautiful abode in which their eyes can rest
May God have mercy on the souls who passed away
Oh God, have mercy on those whom our souls miss, and they are urging the rich. Oh God, have mercy on the souls who ascended...to you, and there is nothing left between us and them except supplication. Oh God, have mercy on those we lost and look at them with the eyes of your kindness and generosity of hospitality, for they are your guests.
Oh God, bestow mercy, pardon and forgiveness on their graves... Oh God, cool their soil and grant them good deeds, give them a good resting place, and comfort their loneliness.
When you pray for a dead person, your supplication is like a light in his grave, and he asks, “What is this light?” and is told, “This is so-and-so’s prayer for you,” and he will be happy with it. Pray many times for the dead, so that God will make our death happy. O God, have mercy on those for whom our minds are unable to comprehend parting, and make their graves a light and light until the day they are resurrected, O Lord.
