Tari my friend, congratulations on starting your new business. I understand that since you’re just starting out, you may not want to register your business immediately and that’s fine.
But I want you to take note of one important fact. The truth is that no unregistered business name is above hijacking. In other words, all unregistered business names can be legally acquired by anyone who registers it first.
Don’t listen to people who tell you that nobody can take their business names. if someone else registers that business name before them, they'll have to let it go.
My advice to you is this.
Don’t push your desired business name to the public eye until you’re fully ready to secure it.
Remember that when it comes to the corporate affairs commission, the first person to register the name, is the legal owner of the name. Not the first person to come up with the name.
So keep your business name to yourself until you're fully ready to register it.
