GINGER BISCUITS

INGREDIENTS

2½cups cake flour
¾ cup margarine(softened)
1large egg
¼cup molasses or honey 🍯
2tablespoons sugar (to coat)
1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
¼teaspoon salt
2teaspoons ground ginger 🫚
1tablespoon water
¾teaspoon cinnamon
1cup sugar

METHODS

Preheat oven to 175 degree Celsius
Set 2tablespoons sugar aside (for coating)
Sift together flour, ginger, cinnamon, salt, soda in a bowl
In a large bowl mix margarine and 1 cup sugar until fluffy and light.
Beat in eggs, then stir in molasses and water until combined
Gradually addthe sifted ingredients into the molasses mixture until combined
Shape dough into 24 balls,roll into sugar (2 tablespoons)until coated
Place the balls into baking pan,flatten slightly with the bottom of a glass.
Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown

1) Vinegar Assists Raising Agents
One of the first and arguably most helpful uses for vinegar in baked goods is that it is a wonderful ingredient when used to assist raising agents. Even if you have never baked before, you will know what happens when vinegar comes into contact with baking soda.
When acids like vinegar come into contact with baking soda, carbon dioxide gas is released, which is essential in aiding cakes, muffins, and cookies to rise as they bake. If your baked goods do not rise properly, the final product will undoubtedly be poor. Adding only a splash of vinegar will do wonders in preventing a kitchen nightmare.

2) Vinegar Can Brighten the Color of Baked Goods
Red velvet cupcakes are one of those baked goods that have taken the world by storm. The now-iconic bright-red cake topped with white frosting is undoubtedly a favorite in many households and café’s alike.

3) Vinegar also makes an excellent substitute for ingredients that you might not expect, eggs being one of them.

Ultimately, adding vinegar to the cake batter increases the batter’s acidity, which results in the proteins found in flour to set while the cake is baking. What you would expect from eggs is what you can expect from vinegar. Your cake will come out both fluffy and moist – the perfect combination.

You could also substitute buttermilk by mixing vinegar with fresh milk. Once it has curdled slightly, it will work just as effectively as what buttermilk.

HOW TO MAKE YOUR MEAT PIE,

RECIPES NEEDED,



Meat Pie Filling:

•2 medium-sized Irish potatoes
•2 medium-sized carrots
• minced meat
•1 medium-sized onion
•2 cooking spoon of Vegetable Oil
•Seasoning – 2 Maggi / Knorr cubes and 1 teaspoon of thyme
•1 tablespoons of plain flour
• water — half cup
•Salt — to taste
•1 egg (for glazing the pies)

FOR THE DOUGH
6 cup of plain Flour
Half teaspoon Baking powder
4 tablespoon butter
Pinch of salt,

Preparation :
-Making the Filling:

Step 1: Heat the oil a little and put in the onions to a lightly brown

Step 2: Add the minced meat and fry until brown, add the thyme, curry powder and the maggi cube. Then add the water and let it cook for 5 min.

Step 3: Add the carrots and potatoes and little salt to your taste.

Cover the pot and let it cook till everything is tender (around 10 min) .

Step 4: Dissolve the 1 table spoon of flour in a little water and add into the filling. This will thicken the filling.
Stop the heat and let the filling completely cool down.

Making the dough:
Step 1: Add the flour in a bowl with the baking powder and a pinch of salt. Then mix well.

Step 2: Add the margarine and mix thoroughly until the mixture looks more like bread crumbs.

Step 3: Gradually add water while mixing until you get
Smooth dough

Step 4:bring out from the bowl and Roll out on a flat surface with rolling pin and cut into desired size wth a round cutter

Step 5: Add the filling into the sizes of the pastry fold & brush eggs on the inner side of the pastry to

Step 6: Use fork to press the edges together or use a meat pie cutter if you have
Step7: Brush your pastry with the whisk egg on it to achieve a golden color when baked

Once you’re done set on greased baking tray brush with a little of margarine and put in the preheat oven.
Once the meatpie is light brown, it is ready.

HOW TO MAKE COCKTAIL.

Ingredients needed:
2 cups of fresh orange juice.

1/4 cup of lemon juice.

2 tablespoon ginger piece.
1/4 cup of sugar.
A pench of salt.

Methods::1) boil the water with sugar and Ginger pieces. Keep aside and rest for 30 minutes.
2) then strain the ginger sugar syrup.
Add fresh lemon juice, orange juice, and water.
3) stir well and serve with crushed ice and lemon slice.

HOW TO MAKE PUF -PUF.

Ingredients is:
1 glass of warm water.
6 oz of flour and sugar.
1 tablespoon yeast.
Pinch of salt.
Nutmeg (optional)
Vegetable oil for frying.

Method 1: sieve the flour and salt into a warm bowl.
2. Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water, mix very well.

3. Add the yeast liquid to the floor, beat very well with a wooden spoon to a thick beatable.

4. List in the sun to rise until it double its former size, then it is ready to fry.

5. Fry in big or small balls or as desired in deep oil, sprinkle with more sugar if you like,
Serve with tea, coffee, or any fruit drink as breakfast or mid-day meals.
