Imo State came into existence in 1976.

Ever since then, several leaders have emerged from this beautiful state which has Owerri as its capital.. Many have become global pacesetters making an impact in different sectors of society. Our history is that of brilliance, hard work, enthusiasm, entrepreneurship, resilience and fear of God.

We do not take for granted the massive spirit of dedication our people have continued to display in the corporate sector, Health, Business, Journalism, Education, Leadership, Politics, sports, Arts and culture etc.

On Thursday 22nd December,2022 , we will be honouring 46 great Imo sons and daughters in commemoration of Imo state 46 years anniversary.
