Firstly, I would say a big thank you to God almighty for a successful session, hugs and loves to Mayorkun and Blessing and to all 3 speakers for day 2.

Like a colleague said, day 1 was fire 🔥 but day 2 was fire-er 🔥 🔥…If it was possible to say day 2 was the icing of the cake, it may be that tomorrow May just be the cake as a whole😊…

First speaker : engaged me in the journey of how to build a successful youth campaign, and how best we could communicate our message to the people we are reaching out to. Yes, there maybe challenges but we were advised not to focus on the challenges alone, as they would keep coming but to also focus on the areas we can overcome!

Second speaker: Transformational leadership, leadership at its best!… One of my take-homes was that the reaction of people to transformational leaders is commitment and long-term fellowship. A transformational leader do not dictate like an autocratic leader would but rather they influence, inspire, motivate, consider people and are intellectually stimulated. One more is that: Your influence as a leader is directly proportional to the responsibilities you have.

Third speaker: wow, wow, wow at first I was like this Dr must have spent a long time overseas with the way he was speaking not until he yan us pidgins at some point, 😅😅😅that cracked us up!… This session was really exceptional, I must confess. Take-homes: As long as you do not care who gets the credit for the work, amazing things can happen; some persons feel they are the savior when it comes to making a change in the environment but that’s not the right mentality to have in such engagements, none of us is smarter than all of us, when you want to cause a good change to the environment, go to the people most affected by it, let them tell you the problem and let the solutions be suggested by them as well. This goes to explain the saying that goes: Na who wear shoes, know where e dey tight am!!!

Yesterday’s session was enlightening!

Oh The opening GONG is to be appreciated too😊

First speaker (Seyi) 🥵: knowing what plastic pollution throughly entails to knowing that recycling plastics doesn’t necessarily help out in the long run. Burning, burying and recycling plastics still end up polluting the environment!

Second speaker (Seun) 🥵💧: The best ways to tackle a problem… is to firstly emphathize by identifying the root cause of the problem to identifying the people affected and conducting user interviews, also by defining the problem by asking why to ideating, having a prototype to testing.

And the third speaker (Jeff) 🥰: clearly made me realize that there is more to pollution than the eyes can see… Litterati is needed practically everywhere!

I am grateful to God for making me part of the 200 females selected out of 700 candidates, all glory to You Lord, I pray to finish strong!
