Honoring Tradition: A Memorable Farewell to a traditional Chief,
HRH Etubom (Sir) Professor Ene-Obong Efiom Ene-Obong FAS.

At Kemidelight catering and event services, we had the honor of being part of a truly special event; the burial ceremony of a revered traditional chief. The occasion called for a celebration of heritage and culture, as we meticulously crafted a traditional setup and served authentic dishes that paid homage to the rich traditions of our community. Join us on this journey as we reflect on the event and the remarkable culinary experience it entailed.

Last Friday, we gathered together to bid farewell to a beloved traditional chief. To honor his legacy and the cultural traditions he held dear, we transformed the event space into a vibrant and visually captivating setting. Traditional elements such as colorful fabrics, handcrafted artifacts, and symbolic decorations adorned the tables, creating an ambience that spoke to the essence of our heritage, oh my God, I'm blushing 🤩

Central to the event was the exquisite display of traditional food. We meticulously prepared a menu that showcased the authentic flavors and culinary traditions of the Efik community. From the tantalizing aroma of jollof rice to the delightful crunch of fried chicken and fish, every dish was lovingly crafted with attention to detail and an appreciation for the cultural significance it represented.

One of the highlights of the event was the presence of traditional staple foods that have long been cherished in Efik community. The aroma of afia efere ke okop usem ebot ye usung abia (White soup and pounded yam) and ekpang-nkukwuö filled the air, while the taste of ukang uköm (Porridge plantain and aromatic coconut rice delighted the palate. These dishes, steeped in tradition and prepared with care, served as a reminder of our rich cultural heritage and the importance of preserving our culinary legacy.

As we reflect on the burial ceremony of the Etubom , we are reminded of the importance of honoring our heritage and preserving our cultural traditions. Through the art of food, we were able to pay tribute to the past, celebrate the present, and create lasting memories for all who attended. Kemidelight catering N event services is here to say a very big thank you to the family of Etubom, most especially to Rev Mrs Koko Efik, Pst (Dr) Mrs Eno Jerry Eze, Mr and Mrs Abasi Ene-bong @ Ini Dima Okojie. Thank you for entrusting us with such a meaningful occasion, and we are grateful to have been a part of this special tribute.
