God's Perfect Will and His Permissive Will!!!
As believers, it is important to understand that God's will can be viewed in two ways: His Perfect Will and His Permissive Will.
1. God's Perfect Will
God's perfect will is His ideal plan and desire for our lives. It is what He has ordained for us according to His wisdom, love, and purpose. When we obey Him completely, we walk in His perfect will and experience His best.
Bible Reference: "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—His good, pleasing and perfect will." — Romans 12:2 (NIV)
2. God's Permissive Will
God's permissive will refers to what He allows to happen, even when it is not His perfect desire for us. Because God has given mankind free will, He sometimes permits us to make choices that may not align with His perfect plan. Yet, in His mercy, He can still work through those situations for our good and His glory.
Bible Reference: The people of Israel demanded a king despite God's warning through Samuel. God permitted their request even though it was not His perfect plan for them.
"And the Lord said to Samuel, 'Listen to them and give them a king.'" — 1 Samuel 8:22
Conclusion
God's perfect will leads to His best for our lives, while His permissive will allows us to exercise our choices, even when they are not ideal. As believers, our prayer should always be to seek, know, and walk in God's perfect will.
"Dear Lord, help me to know Your will, delight in Your ways, and walk daily in Your perfect plan for my life. Give me a heart that obeys You completely and wisdom to avoid choices that lead me away from Your purpose. In Jesus' name, Amen." SHALLOM!!
