𝗛𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗲𝗹𝘁 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝗱𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗱?

Everyone is happy, joyful and dancing to the rhythm of the merriment but you felt they are all against you even when they are not?

Relax, let me show you 5 things to do to come out of that shell.

That was the battle I fought with in this past week. I became a stranger (in my mind) in my ‘own house’ with my own people. It was so tough that I almost lost it (I don't mean my life) but thank God here I am happy.

The truth is that life's battle and the happenings here and there is enough to take away our Joy but we have an advantage, what's that? We have the right to make any decision we want.

Whether to keep our Joy or give it out to life's situations.

I need you to know that if you still have Joy, you still have everything. What the enemy is after is your Joy but we still have a greater advantage, and that is the Holy Spirit.

What do you do to come out of this shell?

𝟭. 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀.
Commit your heart to God, let him work on you so that your Joy can be guarded and guided by Him.

𝟮. 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝘁.
Don't keep it to yourself. Open up to friends who will encourage you. This might be scarce in times like this I know but try to confide in someone.

𝟯. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗚𝗼𝗱'𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲.
Say to yourself I choose to be happy. Nothing will take away my Joy. The Joy of the Lord is my strength.

𝟰. 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗱𝘆 𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼𝘀.
Read memes that will make you happy. Don't mind how much data it will cost you to go on YouTube and watch comedies. Your life is more important than data.

𝟱. 𝗟𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗹𝘆, 𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗹𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗯𝗮𝗯𝘆.
You know babies have no sense of reasoning, just to eat is their own. Be like a baby and I tell you, you will wake up strong.

Everything since the week began has been pointing to Joy so I believe that's what the Lord is saying in this time.

“Never lose your Joy, Joy is a fetcher.” —Dunsin Oyekan

Remember that God loves you and I do too. Cheer up and rejoice.

As well never forget, you're a Voice and you must be heard.

25/02/2022

I don't know who this word is for but I'm sure it will bless you too.

I don't know what you are trying to do and you are just tired because no result is coming forth.

I don't know the struggles you are going through that is making it look as though you are just wasting your time.

You have done all that is needed yet it didn't work. You have tried your experience yet, it didn't work.

I have a good news for you.

It happened to Peter and his friends too. Peter with his years of experience as a fisherman toiled all night trying to catch fish.

He had a good boat.
He had a very good fishing net.
He knew when to catch fish.
So he put everything to work but it all didn't work out.
He got tired too.
He was demoralized and started washing his net after a whole night of fruitless effort.

But in the morning, he released his boat for the Master's use. His boat was meant for ‘fishing fish’ but he released it to be used in ‘fishing men.’

It doesn't make sense to him but he released it. And when the Master stopped teaching, He called out to him and said “launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.”

It doesn't make sense to Peter because by experience he knew that all the fishes would have gone to the depth of the sea during the day, and it's not possible to catch but he said:

We have toiled all night yet we caught nothing, remember that night is the best time to catch fish but because you have said so, “at you word” I will do so.

And guess what, they did not only catch fish, his net broke as a result of the multitude of fishes they caught.

This is what Jesus want to do for you if only you will release your boat, if only you will forget your experience—remember you have tried that over and over again yet it didn't work, if only you will at His words launch your net even when it's not making sense.

This is the word of God for you tonight.

I leave you with the peace of the Lord that passes all human understanding.

Shalom!

14/01/2022

Dear Minister of the Gospel,

Greetings I bring to you from the Father of peace.

It is with great joy I write to you today, having received grace to write a letter to you again since the last time I wrote to you.

Remember I said, if God wills, I'll write again as God will be leading me, and to God be the glory that has sent me again.

The Lord again has sent me to remind you of some things oh great Evangelist. There is a question I will want to ask you, you may probably not give me the answer but answer it yourself.

I know you harvest souls for the kingdom every time, but what do you do for these people to make sure they are standing in the new faith they have received?

I know you collected their details, but when was the last time you prayed for them? Or do you not know they can easily go back to their vomit when they are not guided?

I know you pray for them but what action have you put in place to watch over their growth?

I do not wish to be harsh with my words but we must know this so that we don't fool ourselves by having people give their lives to Christ today only to hear that tomorrow they are back to who they used to be.

Who am I to tell you these things if God has not put it in my mouth? But remember I said it's a reminder. I know you know this too.

Much more than the joy it brings to see hundreds of people give their lives to Christ in your meetings, their firmness in Christ is very important.

I know what you are thinking, they should “work out their salvation with fear and trembling...” right? Yes, you're right, but do they know that yet? You need to groom them till they can fend for themselves in the spirit.

This is getting too long already, and I'm sure you have gotten the message because you're a Minister too.

I will leave you with the words of Apostle Paul:

Finally, my friends, keep your minds on whatever is true, pure, right, holy, friendly, and proper. Don't ever stop thinking about what is truly worthwhile and worthy of praise.(Phil 4:8 CEV).

And the peace of God that passes all understanding fills your heart now and forevermore. Amen.

If God grants grace, I will write to you again, but till then, keep witnessing Christ.

Your Fellow in Christ,

24/12/2021

“I felt like asking for a hug,” he said.

A brother was alone with a sister in his room. He was about to travel and the sister was helping her in packing his bags.

They are not in a relationship, just friends but best friends. Bro and Sis relationship.

But while the sister was in his room, this tongue-speaking brother started feeling like receiving a hug.

The feeling was so intense that the brother started thinking about how to go about it, then he resolved he was going to ask for a hug.

Is it that he has not been receiving hugs from other Sisters? Of course not, hugs from the opposite s*x are not a new thing, but this feeling is special as he called it to be.

As he was thinking about when to ask for a hug, a thought popped up in his mind.

It was a question.

“When you ask for the hug, what will she think?”

“It's just a friendly hug” he answered.

“But do you know she will give you if you ask?”
“Sure, she will” he replied.
All in his mind.
“But do you know the next thing you will ask for is a kiss?”

“Ah!” he shouted.

At this point, he knew that was not his thoughts but the Holy Spirit ministering to him.

“Do you know that after the kiss, you will ask for s*x?”

That's how it works...

It starts with the usual till it gets out of hand.
That's how it starts when fulfilling the lust of the flesh.

Now, this is not limited to s*xual immoralities alone, even in your walk with God.

I'm tired, I will skip my vigil tonight, I will study the Bible tomorrow, that's how it starts and before you know it, a week will go without you praying or even studying the Bible.

As we crossover into a new year, let's be mindful of these things. They won't appear like they matter you will see everyone doing it but gradually, your spiritual life is shrinking, and your world-life is increasing.

I didn't plan to share this tonight but I believe you have been blessed.

This is the time to be mindful of the things we do. A little here and a little there, before you know it, the house is already on fire.

It is my prayer that even as we enter into a new year, we enter into deeper realms available for us in God.

To finish my story, the brother buried the thought right there.

I call you blessed 😇

“It's not every time that you ‘shababarize’ sometimes, all God want is that you stand upon your watch and write.....”

Amongst many things that God is teaching me in this season, is the understanding of His moves — His ways. A man of God will always say, “don't be too familiar with God.” There's more to God than we know.

There are dimensions of God that has never been seen or tasted since the creation of the first Adam till now. So why get too familiar when you haven't seen a quarter of God.

Many of us are just too used to the ways of God that we think He has no other ways or He can't do some things in His own way different from the ones we know, and so we keep missing out of what He has in stock for us.

The concept of prayer has yet not been understood by many. We know that prayer is our way of communicating with God but we seem not to admit that God too wants to speak to us even while we pray.

Sometimes in our secret place, God is not ready to give us the stress of talking (praying), all He wants is to have us get our jotter and pen, listen and then write because He wants to speak to us.

But it's a pity, that many claim to be prayer warriors and still cast out the voice of God telling them to stop praying and listen, as though it's the devil stopping them from praying.

Brethren, God speaks too!

It's not every time that you ‘shababarize’ sometimes, all God want is that you stand upon your watch and write what the Lord wants to say to you just like Prophet Habakkuk.

It's ok that we blow tongues in capital letters, it's one of the ways we ascend into deeper realms, but don't forget, prayer is a fellowship, it's not just you, He wants to speak with you too. It's still prayer. You're still praying because you're communing with your Father.

Tell me, what is life without prayer? And what is prayer without speaking with (not “to”) the Father?

Prayer is a communion; it's a fellowship. It's not you alone, it's you and God.

For those struggling with their prayer life, you receive divine strength and fresh hunger for the secret place in Jesus name.

LORD FIX ME

This is not a message to many, but to few.

We believers need to come to that point where we will no longer be the deceiver deceiving our own selves, but we will be true to ourselves and unashamedly open ourselves up to the Holy Spirit.

Lord, fix me. This should be the cry of many.

Brother, you can go hungry for her so that she can eat, but it is difficult for you to go hungry for God.

You can wait for her till eternity but you find it difficult to wait on God for just an hour.

Sister, you can spend all you have on him but you still do calculation when it comes to giving to God.

You can be awake all night just to chat with him but you feel sleepy when it's time for fellowship with the Father.

Ahhhh! Can you cry God fix me

You can be with her all day without checking the time, but when you're with the Father you're always time conscious.

Won't you ask God to fix you?

Whenever you're with him, Jesus may never cross your mind, but when you're with the Father your heart is always filled with the thought of him.

Ah, you need to cry and say God fix me.

You need fixing, and only the Holy Spirit can do that for you. Open up to God, the Holy Spirit will work on your heart.

God needs to sit at on that throne again. You know this is not how it used to be before the whole thing all started. Cry that He may fix you.

Ask God to fix you.

This is not a message to many, but to few.

17/09/2021

I don't know the reason for your pursuit for the things of God but let me tell you the thing in the very heart of the Father.

It is the wish of the Father that you seeking Him should not come from the place of what you want to get from Him but, seeking Him because you love him.

It is the Father's greatest desire that you do not just pray so you could enter into realms that are available for you in Christ, but because you love God.

That the reason why you will pick up your Bible to study is not that you're searching for Logos and Rhema, but it will come from the place of your love for God.

That the reason why you will want to be identified with Christ is not just so people can know that you're a Jesus person, but because you love God.

That the reason why you will fast is not to see the manifestation of God in your meetings, but because you love God.

That the reason why you will preach Christ to people won't just be out of zeal and passion for souls, but out of love for the Father.

This is the heart of the Father I'm revealing to you today.

That the reason why you do things for God is not that you are in the position to do them but because you love God.

That the reason why you will pray for the sick is not just so they could be healed but because you love God.

That you get to a point where all that you do can be traced to your love for God and not the desires of your heart.

Ahhhh! This is the desire of the Father. Until we get to this point we haven't gotten anywhere in Christ.

Lord take me to that point where I love you more than I love myself.

Take me to that point where I love you more than what you can give me. That my seeking You will not be for what you can give me but because I love you.

Take us to the point where we will be ready to give our lives in exchange for Your love.

Take me to that point where I can forfeit my career for the sake of your love. A point where I will be willing to lose everything just to still have your love.

Help us, Lord.

We cry for help Lord.

The position of the church: My heartcry.

There is a desire in my heart for long, the desire is to see the church take her rightful position in the things that matters, things which used to be our place but have been forfeited for culture and in some cases religious beliefs.

I watched briefly the coronation of the new crowned Olu of Warri, it gladdened my heart to see him worship God after being crowned king. But do you know there is a place the church has lost in the crowning process of kings?

The church has lost her place as the representative of the King who make men kings. We have lost our place as the kingmaker. We know how kings were crowned in the Bible days.

If a king or a queen is to be crowned in England, the Archbishop of Canterbury, the most senior cleric in the Church of England will be the one to do the crowning, though the deliberation might not have included him at first, but he will be called into it.

This is still good compared to the position of the church in Nigeria, but there's more.

Ah! There are more space to cover!!

I look forward to when the church will restore to factory settings and we will take our position as the kingmaker crowning the will of God as kings for our generation.

I look forward to that time when a believer who's about to be crowned king will refuse to bow to Babel but insist to be crowned only by an ordained man of God, just as priests and prophets crowned kings in the Bible days.

Until we get there we still haven't invaded the world's system. No, we still haven't covered much. I know we are trying, but there's still more.

This is my desire!
This is my heartcry!
I see the church taking her rightful position in the 7 mountains of the world's system.
We are rising!!

08/07/2021

What happened at the ATM stand

Last week I was at the ATM stand where I wanted to withdraw some money. The queue was long but I waited, I couldn't afford to pay POS charges out of the little I wanted to withdraw so I stayed.

Gradually, I was moving forward. When it was about 3-4 persons to get to my turn, a woman—probably in her fifties or more—just came around.

There were 3 ATMs but only one was working and that's what caused the long queue in the first place. As the woman came, she was trying to communicate to us to allow her go first, but no one gave her audience.

She couldn't say it out formally because there were older people too in front of me on the queue.

She was just restless and going from one ATM to the other (the ones that are not working), she was just complaining about the two other ATMs not working instead of speaking up or maintaining her place.

Now to why I wrote this.

When it remained just a person to get to my turn, I pleaded with the person behind me to let the woman go before me as the rest of us were students. The lady agreed reluctantly. So I spoke with the person behind her and said the same thing, but the guy said that it won't be possible, that he's having lecture and he's also in a hurry.

I tried explaining what honour is to him but he insisted, and he said it's either I allow her and I'll take her place at the back or I mind my business.

Sincerely, God sees my heart, I was ready to be in her place and allow her withdraw before me but where was she?

She was busy jumping from one machine to the other complaining. The moment it was my turn, she was already at the 3rd ATM trying to check if it's dispensing even though she's aware that it's not.

A bank official was already working on one and she was like ‘they should do it fast so that she could be the first to withdraw and leave all of us on the queue.’

To continue, it got to my turn but she was already far trying to insert her card into the ATM whose ‘mouth’ has been closed.

With this I didn't even bother to call her again because she wasn't near, I just went ahead and withdrew and I left—leaving her behind.
..

The story of this woman is the same thing with many of us.

God has seen our needs, He knows how urgent it is and He's working on it though we may not see it or even know it, but oftentimes, we are always on the lookout for another means that will be ’faster than fast’ and at the end, we will just miss out what He has prepared for us.

Another thing is that many of us always keep quiet when we need to tell God what we need or want. The woman in my story couldn't say what she wanted out clearly, but she was full with worries. The Bible teaches us to worry about nothing.

Imagine she spoke up and humbly request that we allow her, even if they will murmur, they will still allow her because of her age. The same way God will always honour our requests that is tendered with a humble heart and a sincere motive. She also didn't position herself to be helped.

“Don’t be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude. Tell him every detail of your life.”
Philippians 4:6 TPT

I hope you are blessed?

PRAYER OF FORGIVENESS: Things we neglect while praying prayer of forgiveness

The prayer of forgiveness, one of the prayers we pray often, yet not may of us understand or know that it is far more than our general knowledge of the ‘how-to’ of praying this prayer.

I was praying one night, after praying the prayer of thanksgiving as expected I moved to prayer of forgivenesss, and while I was praying, I was surprised of the prayer I was praying.

I find myself asking forgiveness for how I ate that day; how I talked; how I spent my time and money during the course of that day, and I was surprised like, “what am I praying about” but I still didn't stop praying.

Then I knew that prayer of forgiveness is more than Lord “forgive me for losing my temper” “forgive me for lusting after a brother or a sister” and so on like that. We are meant to seek for forgiveness in every areas of our life.

Could it be that eating irresponsibly is that greatest sin you commits every day yet you have never remembered that in your prayer?

Could it be that mismanagement of time is that sin you commits every now and then yet it has never crossed your mind that you need to ask for forgiveness?

What about how you spend money?

I know someone is thinking that “could these things be a sin that could hinder one's prayer?” My answer is YES.

If only you understand how much of God's investment you waste anytime you mismanage your time, then you will know it worth seeking for mercy.

If only you know how much of God's investment you waste anytime you eat irresponsibly (which may later damage your health), you will know it worth seeking mercy for.

If only you understand how much lives would have been blessed if only you are in the right place saying the right thing, then you will know you need to ask for mercy for how you talk.

Prayer of forgiveness shouldn't be limited to the general forgiveness prayer, go deeper and open yourself to God. Then He can trust you with His resources (spiritually, materially, physically, intellectually, name them).

I hope that from now you will start going deeper while praying prayer of forgiveness.

Are you blessed?

Hear this...Moses grew in the palace because he will at some point in his life stand against the orders from that palace...
10/06/2021

Hear this...

Moses grew in the palace because he will at some point in his life stand against the orders from that palace, so he already understood the “when and how” of approaching Pharaoh.

And notice he wasn't denied access to the palace when he came. If he had been given birth to as a slave, how would he have gained access to Pharaoh let alone delivering his God-sent message so easily?

Esther grew as a slave because she will later rescue the people of God who were enslaved too. She needed to taste and know what it means to be a slave.

Imagine if she grew in the palace, the Lord's people wouldn't have been rescued at the mercy of her 'queenship.' Remember she became a queen as an adult and yet she almost forgot to rescue her people until Modecai reminded her.

Joseph grew up being hated by his brothers who treated him like a stranger, because he needed to learn how to cope and hold on to God even when in a strange land.

He was destined to be a voice in a strange land and so he lived his early life like a stranger even amidst his own people.

David grew up watching after the flock of his father because a time will come when he will need that same experience and strategy to lead God's people.

Did you know that he always worship God with his harp while watching over the sheep? Remember he was that king that teaches brokenness in worship.

Jesus grew up in a carpenter's workshop because He will at a point be nailed to the cross. Injury from nails wasn't a new experience to Him because he started as a carpenter (this doesn't mean He was not hurt or pained when being nailed).

What's the point, there's something about your calling that needs you to go through what you're going through presently. That is what will prepare you for the future.

Don't even try to jump the process, it's part of your making. Not everyone will suffer rejection like Joseph or poverty like Esther, some will live under golden roof, that's what is required of them.

I explained this much better in my book THE MAKING OF A HERO, you can get it here https://selar.co/ljwf for free.

I call you blessed.

Thomas, a honest believer

Most times when we want to paint a picture of unbelief, the Bible character ‘Thomas’ is usually the portrait we often comes up with. While I'm not saying we are wrong as this is nothing but the truth, I will in this piece not subscribe fully to the description we have labelled this honest Bible character.

I call him ‘honest’ because he didn't feign his unbelief. I'm quite sure that there were many of the disciples of Jesus there who also didn't believe genuinely Jesus' resurrection until Thomas hand-felt the wounds of Jesus. But they also acted like they believed too, there by they were also seen to be like those who truly believed.

Do you know some people (after the Bible days) were saved—beileived in the resurrection of Jesus and accepted Him—all because they read that a man that lived in those days too found it difficult to believe but was cleared of doubt?

Jesus' reaction to Thomas should let us know that the event was captured not only to show us the weakness of Thomas, but to teach the church that it's not a sin if you find something difficult to believe.

However, this isn't opposing our stand on the subject of “faith” because Jesus Himself said to Thomas “ ...stop doubting and have faith!” (John 20: 29 CEV).

You should be able to express your doubts unashamedly amidst brethren. Don't just act like you believe or know everything, ask questions to prove your convictions.

We are the generation of “yes” “ok” “I hear you sir” “Kai” “ride on Pastor” meanwhile we don't even understand what was said, and in our arrogance we find it difficult to ask brethren or even Pastors that “Sir, you said this, can you explain more to me?” but no, we won't do that, we can only be on queue to see the Pastor only about our marital life and family problem.

This is why Pastors when counseling some people will be like “were you not in church when I preached about this? Were you not the one shouting ‘o deep’ when I was teaching this?” He's 'kuku' the one, he just joined other people that got the message and acted like them so that they won't think of him less.

Believers, cry out if there's something you don't know or get. It's not a sin.

With all sense of humility I say this, some believers don't know how to lead an unbeliever to Christ. Some can't even watch over a new convert, yet these are the people we call “Apostle” “My Pastor” “MOG” “WOG” and their head too will be swelling like garri Ijebu.

Let's not hide our ignorance under our clothes, ask, seek for knowledge.

Back to Apostle Thomas, it was this same brother that died as a missionary witnessing Christ to people all his life.

Don't hide your ignorance, cry out for enlightenment. The harvest is plenty, Abba needs more hands on deck.

I call you blessed.
