Come cook lunch with me

On the menu was a red lentil (masoor daal) cooked with some basic tadka spices. I love myself some daal with extra crunch. Added roasted cauliflower and Swiss chard. For color and variation in crunch
.
.
The Palak paneer got a finishing tadka for heeng that I picked up on my recent trip. That boxes powder stands nowhere near this freshly pounded gems of joy
.
.
Raita recipe - yogurt, cucumber, orange zest and juice, powdered sugar, freshly ground cumin powder. It’s magical. Try it.
.
.
Made some millets. Over cooked them. Still tastes fine though. Gonna try them again in a few days
.
.
Feels good to be back in the kitchen

What makes our food special you ask?
.
.
It’s working with happy farmers like Mareis and Bodo! Here you see Mareis happy with the asparagus that’s been picked this week Tuesday and Wednesday to be fed to all of you this week!
.
.
More and more in the food system in 🇳🇱 I find people referring to the food we eat as a product. An item in which the cost analysis has to maximize profitability. Large volume discounts with rev targets. I remember having such conversations when we sold watches or phone charging cables. MOQ (minimum ordering quantity) shouldn’t exist in the food world the way it does in the current form
.
.
Luckily, food for us is meant for feeding the soul. Nourishing the body to give you vitamins and nutrients that help in boosting your system. Food that’s made not with a recipe, but with a goal to make you happy. Recipes are endless and available in depth like you could never imagine before. There’s a reason why “food from the heart” makes sense for us
.
.
See you and Mareis at the market tomorrow
