For our upcoming event ‘Haft Seen’ we are celebrating “Nowruz” the arrival of spring and new beginnings.
The Persian New Year so-called “Nowruz” literally translated to ‘New day’ is the spring equinox.
As spring arrives and dark days end, nature begins turning green, days get longer and lighter. As the energy of spring rises, feasting and joy are part of the celebration of Nowruz. It is also a time of ritual cleansing, the sweeping away of old patterns, and the bringing of renewal. Lighting fires and honoring the rebirth of nature are part of Nowruz.
Households are decorated with symbolic items that are collectively called “Haft-Seen”. Here, haft means ‘seven’ while seen refers to ‘S’ in Farsi. Most of the items start with ‘S’.
To celebrate the arrival of spring and create lasting memories, this is an invitation to a dinner event.
On March 24th, join us for an evening of honoring Mother Nature for the rebirth of nature, where we bring the seven elements of Haft Seen to a seven-course Iranian menu. We offer vegetarian options as well. (See the menu in the link in bio)
