Natto appreciation post! 🍚

Once every now and then we ferment soy beans into natto!
First we wash and rinse the beans, then let it soak for 24 hours. After soaking we cook the beans in a pressure cooker. We place the beans in trays and we let it ferment for 20hours on 37~39c after adding the natto culture. Then it cools down in the fridge for another 2 days for the fermentation proces to calm down. The end result may look like a gorey horror movie but the taste is quite gentle. Its and acquired taste and we like to eat it with a bit of mustard soy and chopped sprint onions over rice.

Its quite a proces but the end result it quite satisfying!
