'Deep Inside' is a classic house tune I've loved for years. At 15, I didn't even like house, but this track won me over. Thanks to my 10-year-older sister and the fact I was a dancer and about to start dancing in the dance group Impulsive. Barbara Tucker's funky vocals and that irresistible groove makes you wanna dance or at least bop your head with a stank face! 💃
Hardrive, a production alias of house legend Little Louie Vega, brought us the iconic 1993 track "Deep Inside." This track has been sampled countless times, including by the late DJ Rashad for his footwork anthem “Deep Inside 06” and Kanye West's 2016 hit “Fade.”
Did you know? "Deep Inside" is based on samples from Barbara Tucker’s “Beautiful People,” produced by Vega and Kenny “Dope” Gonzalez of Masters at Work. These tracks are like ultimate companion pieces in the house music world.
Both tracks were released on the legendary NYC house label Strictly Rhythm, home to artists like Armand Van Helden, Erick Morillo, Ultra Naté, and Josh Wink.
