Dear all 😊,

We are excited to announce that Toko Kalimantan will be participating in the **Discovering the Magnificence of Indonesia** event, hosted by PT Nuswantara Adhidaya Perkasa (KUPU GSC).

The event will take place from **28 November to 1 December** at **Utrecht Jaarbeurs**.

This event offers a wonderful opportunity to experience the rich flavors of Indonesia, with a special focus on traditional dishes from Toko Kalimantan. You can enjoy a variety of Indonesian favorites, including:

- Soto Banjar
- Nasi Goreng Banjar
- Mie Banjar
- Sate Banjar
- Nasi Padang
- And many more!

In addition to these delicious meals, Toko Kalimantan will also offer a wide selection of Indonesian snacks.

There will be many other stands showcasing a range of unique products from Indonesia, making this an event not to be missed!

That sounds like a fantastic combination! Siomay, with its savory fish dumplings and peanut sauce, paired with a sweet, refreshing glass of tjendol sounds like a perfect way to enjoy some traditional flavors.

The chewy rice flour jelly in the tjendol would complement the rich flavors of the siomay beautifully!

The unique part is, the chicken is still on its original shape. It’s seasoned by some Balinese spices which make the taste become very authentic. Such as wewangen seasoning, salt, and coconut oil.

Rawon Iga is a beef stew simmered in a spice paste made of keluwak (also spelled keluak). This seed, along with the beef, is the star of the dish. Keluwak gives the dish its distinctive black color and nutty flavor, and is absolutely essential to every rawon recipe.

Nasi bakar (Indonesian for “burned or grilled rice”) refers to steamed rice seasoned with spices and ingredients and wrapped in banana leaf secured with lidi semat (a small needle made of a central rib of coconut leaf) and later grilled upon charcoal fire.

The burned banana leaf produced a unique aroma on the rice. The banana leaf package is opened upon consumption.

It is a relatively newly developed Indonesian dish around the early 2000s, probably derived from nasi timbel rice wrapped in banana leaves.

Padang satay is a speciality satay from Minangkabau cuisine, made from beef cut into small cubes with spicy sauce on top. Its main characteristic is the thick yellow sauce made from rice flour mixed with beef and offal broth, turmeric, ginger, garlic, coriander, galangal root, cumin, curry powder and salt.

In Medan, many Sate Padang use not only beef but also chicken, goat, lamb and mutton.Also in Medan, fried shallot is served on top of sate padang, and lontong as the side.
