If you missed it last week, we announced that we are the new owners of Meadow on the Mountain! We are already hard at work to bring a few changes to this wedding venue in Atkins, Arkansas. We can't wait to reveal how different this place will look when we are done with it!

I know I don’t normally post unless I have a lot of images from a shoot or wedding to share, but here we are. A very aggressive crop of one of my favorite photos I have taken from years ago. It’s a photo that I actually revisit often because it’s on the last page of my pricing guide and I think I’ll never replace it. Original for comparison.

A very chilly sunset engagement session with these two. It’s funny to me that sometimes I end up in the VERY first field that I ever took photos in. It feels like home base for me, which is fitting because I literally grew up 30 seconds down the road from it. A lot has changed over the years, but my love for a big open field hasn’t.

Have some maternity sessions coming up and it’s almost like studio session season with the colder weather, so just wanting to sprinkle in some older studio session favs!

Fully focus on each other and your people. Let the moments happen. Eat cake on the dance floor. Get emotional all day long without apologizing for it. This is the approach we prefer. Where we feel like every favorite photograph is a genuine moment between you and your people, not something put on or staged. Real.

Sometimes that’s why my favorite photos are a bit imperfect. A fist pump blocks a face. A beer can blocks a face. My camera misses focus causing a little bit of bury magic. Bride and groom get absolutely destroyed by stringers make them barely conceivable in the chaos. Bob Ross really was on to something when he described happy accidents.
