But if you get the opportunity to go dog-sledding, it's one that will certainly leave you invigorated and definitely more comfortable with navigating uncertainty - a skill we all need more of these days.

Captivated by the magic of the aurora above our cottages ✨
Some weeks ago, we experienced the strongest and rarest northern lights display for this time of year. Those who have seen it before know it's a spiritual experience that brings us back to nature's childlike wonder and the pure present moment of life.
At Huso Lodge, we strive to create a space where our guests can disconnect from the world🤳🏽 and connect with nature, allowing them to experience pure present moments and all its wonders.
We were overjoyed to receive these stunning pictures from a guest at our Stable House who was lucky enough to witness the aurora for multiple nights during her stay.

In 2022 we made major improvements that elevated the experience of our guests.
➡️ New lounge and bar
➡️ New deck at Viking House
➡️ Enlarged deck at King’s Cottage and Lakeview Cottage
➡️ New outdoor panoramic saunas placed on the most majestic view points
➡️ New kitchen, living room and bathroom in King’s Cottage
➡️ Other improvements toward sustainable energy sources and consumption

Looking back it seems almost impossible what we have accomplished. It was a ride😎 and one can only look forward to what 2023 will bring.

It’s official, snow has come and covered Huso Lodge❄️

After short norwegian summers it might feel like we are not ready for winter. But with the first snow blanket it all changes as we remember how beautiful and cozy it is. We forget about warm summer and turn into Christmas elves almost instantly🎅🏽

First, thank you to all who came out last weekend for our last market at Høstmarked in Hemsedal.
Many of you have asked for the recipes for our Green Swiss Chard Soup and Kale salad.  We have begun emailing them to those who left their emails, but several emails are bouncing (hard-to-read handwriting:)

As a reminder, we will *not* be hosting a market tomorrow (Sep 17).  Our summer harvest has come to an end for all our root vegetables and brassicas (carrots, beets, onions, cauliflower, cabbage, broccoli & kohlrabi), but we still have an abundance of hearty greens (green kales, purple kale and swiss chard) to share!

So instead of a hosting a full market tomorrow, we would like to offer "Green Bundles" for pick-up next Saturday Sept 24 at Huso Lodge!

Farmers Market this Saturday!🪴

We are so excited to open our barn again for the second summer series of bi-weekly Farmers Markets this Saturday July 23, 12.00-15.00.

It’s been a cold spring and summer, but our rainbow Swiss chard, purple kohlrabis, and snap peas have finally popped. The little heat wave this week might help our cauliflowers be ready too!

We look forward to sharing these veggies with you this soon!

BBQ lamb from our neighbouring farm will also be served 🤤
