It's been awhile since I posted last. Honestly, I can't believe how fast this year is going. And if you are planning a wedding, it will be flying by.
I have weddings most of the way through the winter, nothing better than a crisp, sunny winter's day for a wedding.
I already have most of February/March booked up, it's very exciting for the couples and myself to make their day exactly as they want it with no hassles.

When we moved in full-time 9 months ago, we said this is our year to "Try Everything”. We will do our best not to get caught up in perfectionism (ahem, Rebecca…) and focus on learning from everything - mistakes, successes, people we meet.

And it’s hard to believe we’re in September, the sweaty, dirty, messy months of January to March seem like only yesterday. But the progress markers are everywhere like Rebecca's face on the front page of the newspaper in March - remember that?

Our chickens are laying eggs daily, the farm is a joy to walk around - no longer needing to watch your step, the garden is blooming and the homestead feels like a home again. (We doubt anyone could claim it was haunted now!)

And the plans? The dreams for the future? They keep coming thick and fast. We have brunches, outdoor movie nights, tea parties, garden tours, and a ball on the horizon.

In fact, one dream has already been going strong for the last 6 months: you can expect to visit Hemsworth Estate for an event open to the public each month (This month, it’s an Alice in Wonderland Tea Party).

And the best part? Seeing how much people enjoy being here, and somehow the homestead seems to shine and give off just a little bit extra welcoming energy in return.

Rebecca’s inner 13-year old is running rampant with all the baking, making, and hosting and as the days grow longer, it’s getting harder and harder to drag Jema indoors during daylight hours.

I’m sure you’ll be seeing a lot more of us in the coming months. And September is the perfect month to do a little of your own introspection and see what this year has brought you, so far! We’d love to hear from you below.
