If you’ve ever wondered what a Celebrant does …. Have a read of this.

At CANZ, we’re often asked what the role of a marriage celebrant is. And while most people understand that you can’t have a wedding without one, the celebrant role is far wider than simply being the facilitator of the legal process.

Some great information here if your thinking of a small wedding.

Some great information here if your thinking of a small wedding.

Just inviting a few family and friends to your marriage ceremony can make for a more intimate and memorable occasion.

Keeping your guest list to those you feel comfortable with allows you to express your true feelings for your partner, especially when writing your marriage vows.

And here’s a tip on how to make your wedding vows more intimate and authentic:

“I ask couples to strip it all right back to basics: what is it they first fell in love with? What are some of the best parts of the relationship that they have nurtured? It grounds them not only in thinking about what they would like to share about them on their day, but also how they might like to shape their vows.”

Interesting ….

💍Ever wondered why wedding rings are worn on the fourth finger of the left hand?

Centuries ago in Egypt, Greece and Rome it was believed that the vein in this finger is directly linked to the heart.

❤️And with the heart at the centre of your emotions, the wedding ring showed others that your heart had been claimed by another.

Nowadays, couples are choosing their own symbol of eternal love and devotion.

✨Some couples choose to wear rings, and others don’t. Some couples are also choosing to have their rings tattooed onto their ring finger.

🇳🇿In New Zealand, some couples choose to exchange a pounamu taonga or something else that is culturally significant rather than rings. Some couples are also choosing to have their rings tattooed onto their ring finger.
