This is a centerpiece I made around this time last year.

I used peonies as the main flowers and arranged them balanced. I added blue larkspur to create a color contrast. Personally, I made it as a practice piece, so I regret not being able to add more diverse flowers. Nevertheless, I am satisfied with the simplicity and sophistication it exudes.

This centerpiece holds a special place in my heart. I designed it last year around this time, inspired by the holly greens I discovered – something quite rare in Korea. While I’m not typically a fan of lilies, I couldn‘t resist these Christmas lilies when I found them at a Sunday market. Paired with peonies, they created a centerpiece that still brings me joy today.

You might remember this flower arrangement. When I posted this photo, I shared my personal struggle in the caption. As you can see, my arrangement style is quite different from the New Zealand style, and I was wondering if I should try to change my style to be more the one Kiwi people are familiar with.

Ironically, this reel got the most views out of all my reels. Isn't that interesting? It's almost as if it's saying, "Youjin, don't worry about it, just keep doing your thing." I'm posting this photo again with gratitude and joy. I'm going to give myself some encouragement:

It‘s a rainy weekend, and I imagine everyone’s been out shopping.🛍️Did you find anything you love?

Today, I‘d like to share a floral arrangement I created. As a florist, discovering new materials is always exciting. I first encountered this kinds of grevillea here in New Zealand. Unlike the typical grevillea, its large leaves and tall stature immediately inspired me to create a long, elegant arrangement. To highlight the vintage charm of the quicksilver roses, I used deep burgundy chrysanthemums as a base and added blue delphiniums for a touch of vibrancy. It’s a truly grand and impressive piece, but I‘m afraid the photo doesn’t quite capture its full scale.

I have a habit of taking countless photos and videos that end up buried in my camera roll. I often miss the perfect time to share them, especially when the seasons pass. . Making Christmas wreaths🎄 around this time of year is always so exciting for me as a florist. The endless possibilities of combining different materials to create unique wreaths keeps me inspired. This year, as I prepared for my second Christmas in New Zealand, I had enjoyable time to make a wreath with my daughter. I made a large one and she did a small one. Unfortunately, sourcing materials here is so much more challenging😭 compared to Korea, where there’s a wider variety of conifers available. So, I had to get creative and combine preserved and dried materials to create a vintage and unique look. I‘m really happy with how it turned out! Luckily, I was able to find a good variety of conifers for this Saturday’s wreath-making workshop. I even visited a few grower and markets to find the perfect materials. You can’t imagine how excited I was to find the perfect conifers. (I still miss the conifers of Korea, but I‘m enjoying exploring the different plant life here in New Zealand) I‘m looking forward to sharing the results of that workshop with you soon.
