Last week, close to 400 attended the Electro Mobility Summit & Expo.
It was great to see on display the battery electric truck that will be headed to Fiji with CCS2 charging. Also e-pallet, e-loader great for logistics, plus for construction site, an e-digger. Don't worry about it running out of charge whilst on site, utilise the mobile battery charger that you can take to the fast charger to fill, if your construction site has no power.
Sustainable Transport is more than just a fleet of EV's. It's about other sustainable solutions as well. This Oct 16-17 at the Auckland Showgrounds: The Electro Mobility Summit & Expo will explore how the crucial role sustainable transportation plays into NZ's zero carbon targets. The Income Tax (Clean Transport FBT Exclusions) Amendment Bill was drawn from the members' ballot and introduced to Parliament on 21 March 2024.
The next step is First Reading. The Bill would exempt electric vehicles (EVs) from Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) for a period of five years, to provide a clear financial incentive for employers to purchase new EVs as company cars.
