A marriage celebrant's role is to engage with you and create an individulised, unique personal ceremony to celebrate your special occasion. A ceremony that will always embrace loving memories since its inception.
A vital role of a celebrant is to provide advice, support and inspiration in creating a 'moment in time', a 'ceremony' to be forever cherished.
My background in training and experience involved professional guidance and referrals to young people and families confronting family breakdown, drug, alcohol, gambling addictions, lack of education and fundamental rights, homelessness. I had close contact with the justice system, courts, local councils, police and community groups.
I bring this experience as a valueable support to help others through the dynamics of sad and happy milestones and Rites of Passage.
I have always had a true sense of Spirituality and share a profound relationship with the world of spirit. I have experienced many religions and beliefs. I respect all traditions and customs, various ones I have adopted and include in my daily practices.
I lived in Sydney, Australia for 26 years and celebrate being back home in Blenheim 11 years. Whilst in Australia I earned the Centennial Medal from the Australian Government, and later the Order of Australia Medal for my contribution to young people and the community. My passion and empathy towards others reflects in my commitment to individuals, family and extended family during major transitions in life.
I love the uniqueness, the magic of each wedding I have had the honour to officiate in Marlborough, Queenstown, Christchurch and the Marlborough Sounds.
