The GC Committee has made the difficult decision to cancel the The Craigie 2025. Like you, we were devasted to see the effects of the fire and we are extrmely grateful to FENZ, DOC and everyone else for their huge efforts in contianing the fire to the extent that they did.
While we don’t know the full extent of the damage to the trail network, we do know that a number of trails that would form part of the course have been impacted. Additionally, it is likely that it will be some time before it is safe (or sensible) to ride damaged trails - most of us know how long it took CAP to make trails safe from fire damaged trees.
Obviously we’re gutted not to be able to run the event, but we believe this is the right decision to make at this point. We will be refunding ticketes this week via Eventbrite. It may take up to 5 business days for the refund to appear on the card you used to buy tickets, so if it hasn’t arrived by the end of next week, please get in touch with [email protected] .
Thank you all for your patience and words of support as we took time to make this decision. Again, we are gutted that we won’t see you at Craigieburn in January 2025, but we hope that you’ll come to our other events in the New Year, including Girls on Dirt and GC Super D...and of course we’ll see you at The Craigie 2026!
