Over the past 3 weeks I have had the absolute honour of leading many families through funeral and memorial services for their loved ones, the celebration of people's lives, Mothers, Father's, Sons Daughters, Aunties, Uncles, Brothers and Sisters, hearing your stories, feeling your heart ache, helping you see the light on even the darkest days.
I am grateful to you all for trusting me to honour your loved ones passed and I feel very privileged to have helped you say farewell in such heart felt ways x sending you all so much love as you move forward in the legacy they have left you x

Although the wind was extremely gusty and the clouds rolled in it was a beautifully warm and cozy ceremony today inside Orokonui Ecosanctuary - Te Korowai o Mihiwaka .

What an incredibly special day, hidden away in the tussock surrounding Fallow Ridge Retreat at Mount Watkin, it was the perfect setting for today's Wedding.
A beautiful blend of cultures and families, with the gifting of a precious hand woven korowai made by the stunning woman of the family, which carries so much love and meaning and also the gifting of the Pounamu to the groom from the brides whānau lovingly found, crafted and dipped in the waters of where they are from, not only was there this special Māori tradition, but also the grooms family is Polish and so the throwing of coins was also part of the ceremony, this tradition is to ensure the prosperous and productive future for the newly weds.
Although the winds were too strong to have the nuptials on the grassy roof, it ended up being a very intimate and emotion filled ceremony and it was such an honour to be the Celebrant in Lukasz and Ness's wedding today, and an absolute joy to work with Georgie Daniell Photography , I'm sure the photos you captured today will be incredible.

Wow what a place filled with history, ornate paintings and stained glass windows and amazing architecture, yesterday I was honoured to be the Celebrant for Tim and Rebecca, the Southland ,heavy metal loving fella and the country loving, horse riding girl who loves her animals! At this epic place ..... Resort just south of Oamaru.
What a great group of friends and family, even one of my gorgeous couples from a number of years ago, always nice to see couples so happy x
Lovely to work with Sari Renee Photography again too, can't wait to see what you've captured on camera !
