Kia Ora Kia Orana whanau & friends,
This is so hard to write and wish I didn’t have to do this so please bear with me.
I would like to thank Jen Tetonga and Doug Tetonga for your outstanding support, love and opening up your whare to whanau and friends alike so they could say goodbye to Junior and give him the send off that he deserved. You both were able to take charge and accomplish what I wasn’t in any condition to do are still aren’t. For that Dejhaun Tetonga, Dreden and I will be eternally grateful. I would love to say I would do the same but I don’t want to throw that out to the universe so love you $&@ # you right Jen Tetonga IYKYK. Also thank you my own wahine toa Rititia Kayla Urwin for being you and the vocal go between for whanau and friends love you much❤️
Tetonga/Pakoti family mum, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, extended family and friends who flew/drove in or sent their love, support, koha, chefs, cleaners, entertainers and prayers from New Zealand, Australia and Cook Islands we love you❤️
Keil/Te Aho family in Australia, New Zealand and USA - the parentals, brothers, sisters, cousins, nieces, nephews, aunties and uncles thank you for being there for Dejhaun, Dreden and myself whether it be hugs, uber drivers, chef’s, koha, clothing designers 😊, constant babysitters for Dre(he had a mean time with his cousins), shoulder to cry on, cleaners and kapa haka performers love you❤️
Juniors friends worldwide thank you for your love, help, koha, words, stories and support you meant a lot to him❤️
DJ family and friends - Junior had been djaying before we met nearly 31 years ago it was his other love that never diminished over the years. It changed from having to cart everything around and I mean everything records, cassettes(old skool you would know), cd singles, turntables, mixer, speakers and the list goes on. Times and technology changed and he adapted and it became easier to do everything but on the flip side it was expensive too. He would say hun I need this not I want this and then justify it by saying I only have to do few weddings, parties and venues and the cost would be paid back🤦♂️. Streaming platforms showcased what he could do on a larger scale that was boasted by his Disciples(you all meant so much to him and thank you for the appreciation and love given) which no surprise to anyone it didn’t make his head swell. On another note I love that many of you have taken Dejhaun into your thoughts and care it means so much to him that he is a part of a community that loved his dad. So instead of hearing you are now rocking the best DJ Demarz blasting it’s DJ Dejhaun.
Juniors Scaffolding family - Workwise Junior was a hard worker just not the brightest(his words not mine) but he learnt so much about Scaffing from his colleagues at different sites and mine camps that he worked on. Social wise he made a lot of friends that he laughed, worked out and partied with, even when he got a bit hoha with a few at times he would say but they’re my bros. For him to speak so highly of you guys it means that he cared/loved you. So thank you for giving him friendship when he wasn’t with us❤️
Lastly my hun/dad we are so sad, heartbroken and lost without you 💔 You brought so much joy and a few rough times but no one’s perfect😏 You were easy to love and hard to be angry with. You were funny, so many saw it but our boys and I saw a whole other realm of your humor that still makes me laugh thinking about it. You worked away from us so that I could stay home and concentrate on making sure Dreden and Dejhaun were looked after. Your loving and affectionate nature to us never waived and created a safe place for Dreden and his autistic ways even when you two clashed you would still say sorry and want a hug and kiss from him. You were never to prideful to show your emotions when it came to us❤️ Dejhaun has always looked up to and wanted you to be proud of him even when you had your little tiffs but to be honest it was a one way conversation since Dejhaun loves and respected you too much to answer back so I had to be stuck in the middle listening to you both🤷♂️ You wanted to give us the world and I hope you were happy with the life we created. You loved us hard and it was amazing. While everything is raw at the moment we are so thankful for the time we had and take some comfort in knowing Dejhaun and I were there for your last heartbeat. You and dad can hold it down and watch over us from above until we join you😢
