It's Feedback Friday - I had a lot of fun with this ceremony, working with a lovely couple who wanted a surprise wedding, at a big event they had already planned, at very short notice. The atmosphere was electric when their friends realised what was happening. 🥰🥂

I had a lovely start to the wedding season this week. A small ceremony for a beautiful family, who just left me this gorgeous review❤:

"Lisa was everything we hoped for in a celebrant! We decided to get married with 4 weeks to organise and Lisa made the fast turn around so easy!! With it being a fast turn around we completed questionnaires so that Lisa could get to know our full story and she absolutely nailed it! The ceremony was so personal and captured our relationship perfectly!

We have children and Lisa suggested some awesome ideas to incorporate them into the ceremony that we used which included giving them gifts and she also created a family certificate for them to sign which was really special.

On the actual day she was great giving everyone direction and had written up our personal vows so we didn't need to think about any of that, we just had to turn up!

The family thought she was amazing and we would recommend her 100%!!"

I would love to officiate a wedding far off the beaten track, there are some great spots in the Tararuas using the Mount Holdsworth entrance. I know a great photographer too Lucalia Photography.

Most people like a bit of pampering and gloss for their big day. But one Brazilian couple swapped all that for the wilds of Otago.

Thank you to so many lovely people who came to the rescue of a couple who were due to get married in the Hawke's Bay on Thursday. Our couple and family found refuge in Martinborough. It was an honour to officiate their marriage. Thank you to Jo Smith, Celebrant - Weddings & Funerals, Hawke's Bay , for sharing her beautiful ceremony, Gail at Turret House Salon and Spa for finding time to do hair and make-up, He Putiputi for the beautiful bouquet, Sharisse Eberlein Photography for stepping in and staying on stand by in case their photographer couldn't make it through the floods, Meredith Lord Photography who did make it to the ceremony and to Olivio-nor for providing their beautiful venue for the ceremony and photographs. What a lovely community of people working together to save the day.

Today I had the pleasure of marrying two beautiful people in one of my favourite places. After the newlyweds left for the after party, I changed into my walking boots and made the most of being at Mount Holdsworth. A great way to spend an afternoon.

A new venue for me today. Lacewood at Tuhitarata Estate. The barn was the perfect wet weather backup and the venue overall is beautiful, private and had accommodation on site. Wedding season is upon us.
